Listed as TBD the news and broadcast last night indicated that it will be Bishop Letson making his much anticipated return after a lengthy IL stint.

Biloxi also has TBD and it’s DeBerry’s turn in the rotation, but he did go 6 innings in 81 pitches Tuesday and he’s logged 75 IP in his first professional season (although he did through 90 IP last year at DBU).  We will see if he pitches or if there is a game time decision. It’s also line up watching to see if Pratt will start, or did something happen maybe on his hit by pitch, or on his HR swing? Maybe something else happened that led to his departure last night we may never know about. I know I sure am hopeful he is ok as he was starting to get back into an “even month” hot streak, and finally seeing some power that has been sorely lacking most of this AA season.

Otherwise Melvin Hernandez will look to help the Mudcats get back on the winning track, down 2-4 in this week’s series, they need a win to stay in the playoff hunt. Will these mostly teenage bats find consistency to power the offense the last few weeks?

Nashville will see which version of Carlos Rodriguez they get - brilliant early in the year, injured in his emergency MLB outing. Since returning it’s been decent start and then rough start.  Earlier this week was decent, so does he start to revert to earlier brilliance, or is a clunker in store? I know I am enjoying seeing the August Jefferson Quero highlights. He has been good the first half of this month so far.

20-year old RHP Bishop Letson has returned from injury (first game since May 8; 1.33 ERA with 30 Ks in 27 IP) for High-A Wisconsin, who need a home win to earn a 3-3 series split against Great Lakes. SS Jesus Made is hitting .438 during his 8-game hitting streak.

Made fouls off a tough pitch and lays off a couple more tough pitches, showing his very good eye at the plate. But gets under the 3-2 pitch and pops it up.

Not a lot hits for the T-Rats but they have drawn 6 walks.

Will go back later today to watchin Letson's outing. Just great to see his name in the boxscore

Huge caught stealing. Gets the first out and with 2 outs Loons hitter doubles.

Ugh, no, George who has tormented the TRats this series triples home the run and scores on an error. Yikes Now a 5-3 deficit. Dang up 3-0 and now behind in the 8th.  Feels like the Mudcats game yesterday.

Flores gives up a 2 out double in the top of the 8th. The next batter hits a ball off the left field wall as a run scores. The runner tries to stretch it to a triple and Made's throw is high and goes out of play. Rattlers now trail 5-3 going into the bottom of the 8th.

After 32 relief appearances, RHP Easton McGee (4.79 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 10.0 K/9 in 47 AAA/MLB IP) makes his first start of 2025, as AAA Nashville gets a second and final chance to clinch a series win at Durham. CF Drew Avans has a .333 AVG during his 9-game hitting streak.

22-year old RHP Jaron DeBerry makes his 2nd start of the week (6 IP, 3 R, 6 Ks on Tuesday), as AA Biloxi aims to earn a 4-2 home series win over Columbus. DH Blake Burke is 12-for-28 with 4 HR and 3 doubles during his 7-game hitting streak.

SS bobbles a sharp grounder by Nava and he reaches. Called a hit but it really should have been an error. The shortstop's bobble went up like 5-6 feet into the air

DeBerry does start.

Pratt not in the line up, uh oh. That is another potential gut punch for this year. How many top 10-20 prospects have had to miss significant time so far - Wilken, Adams, Hardin, Letson, Quero, Knoth, Dinges, Boeve and recently Henderson.

Let's see if we get any update from Javik on Pratt.

18-year old RHP Tyler Renz (3.43 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 8.1 K/9 in ACL/Low-A 57.2 IP) makes his first appearance in 19 days, as the Low-A Mudcats seek to avoid a 5-2 series loss at Fayetteville and falling into a first place tie. 2B Josh Adamczewski has a 1.031 OPS in 90 PAs since his return from injury.

If there's one thing that has gone majorly wrong this year, it's the injuries.  Hopefully nothing serious for Pratt but man can we just make it to the end of the season without any further injuries?

I will have to go back to watch but Michael Fowler did get into the Sounds game. But 2 hits and 3 walks and gives up 2 runs.  Otherwise it’s 4-2 Sounds and it’s a bullpen game (McGee starts, Fowler follows, and Holub pitching as well).

No Carlos Rodriguez- maybe just being cautious with him??

DeBerry get two grounders then strikes out nemesis Workinger on a pretty curveball (maybe?). His 7th K. At 60 pitches through 4 IP, nit sure if he will go for 5th given his workload on Tuesday. Will see.

Payne’s speed forces a rushed throw and an error puts runners at the corners.  Mudacts were up 1-0, tied 1-1.

Renz pitched 3 innings - 1 unearned run, 2K and 0 BB.

Payne steals second and Ragsdale very patient and draws a walk. Adamczewski just bloops it and 2 feet short of the CF for a single. 2-1 Mudcats. Let’s go.

Encarnacion Ks looking. Nasty curve.

Anderson flies out to left and Payne scores. (Isn’t that a sac fly? Anderson is 0-4 and no sac fly in the box score)

DiTuri now bloops one (a little more a liner) to shallow center and it’s 4-1.
