AAA Nashville are in a 2-2 series tie at Norfolk and have RHP Garrett Stallings looking for a repeat of his excellent last start (6 IP, 0 R, 7 Ks last week). 3B Luis Urías makes his 3rd appearance. DH Daz Cameron has a 10-game on-base streak.

AA Biloxi have been shutout in 2 consecutive games, but can grab a 3-2 home series lead over Pensacola behind RHP KC Hunt (4.54 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 9.0 K/9 in 111 IP) tonight. 1B Blake Burke has a .931 OPS in 128 AA PAs. (Note: Darrien Miller will catch.)

The 2025 playoffs may be out of reach, but the Low-A Mudcats can still even up their road series at Fredericksburg at 3-3 with a victory behind 18-year old RHP Tyler Renz (3.15 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 7.9 K/9 in 68.2 ACL/Low-A IP) tonight. After a dreadful July and August (.398 OPS in 160 PAs), SS Filippo Di Turi has hit safely in his last 4 starts.

The penultimate game of the High-A Timber Rattlers season sees them seeking a win behind RHP Manuel Rodriguez (3.03 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, 8.8 K/9 in 77.1 IP) which would give them a 3-2 series lead at South Bend. RF Kay-Lan Nicasia is 9-for-16 with 2 HR and 2 doubles over his last 5 games.

Luis Urias has a 1st inning single and 2nd inning 2-run double thus far, as he auditions for an MLB role.

Stallings conceded 3 singles and a walk over the first 2 frames, but 2 GIDPs helped prevent any runs.

Nashville leads 2-0.

Daz Cameron delivered a 1st pitch, 3-run blast to open up a 6-0 lead for the Sounds in the 4th inning.

Thats’s Cameron’s 17th HR in just 199 at-bats with Nashville. What a minor league campaign he’s had.

Luke Adams fell behind. 0-and-2 but ultimately walked to open the Wisconsin-Cubs contest, with Luis Pena driving him home with a 2-out single for an early 1-0 lead.

Inning-opening singles for Josiah Ragsdale and Eric Bitonti went for naught for Carolina over the first 2 frames, while Fredericksburg followed a 2-out, 2nd inning walk with a 2-run blast off Tyler Renz.

The Mudcats are now outhitting the Nationals 3-1, yet trail by a 2-0 score in the 3rd inning.

You might think that an Adams walk, Made single, Fischer single and wild pitch would result in some runs, but Adams was thrown out trying for 3rd and Made was caught stealing.

Still Wisconsin 1, South Bend 0 in the 3rd inning.

RHP Will Childers pitched a clean 9th inning to pick up his first Triple-A Save and secure the Sounds 7-6 victory. 
 

I personally don't know what the Triple-A pitching rehab means in 2025 given what we've seen, but I am sure the very supportive Brewers fans across the internets will understand that as well when they see rehabbing RHP Grant Anderson's 1.0 IP of 2 H, 1 BB, 1 HR, and 3 ER work. He did manage to throw 14 oof 21 total pitches for strikes.

Under-appreciated RF Jared Oliva swiped 2 bases for his 49th and 50th of his season. One can only wonder how many he could have stolen had he not missed an entire month and eight days worth of time due to injury in May to June. He's truly a fantastic player who likely deserves another chance at the MLB level.
