Right-hander Sean Burke had his best start of the 2025 season against Milwaukee on May 1. The White Sox beat the Brewers 8-0.

Burke allowed 2 hits, 3 walks and zero runs over 6 IP. The losing pitcher that game, interestingly, was Chad Patrick.

Patrick went 5.2 IP allowing 3 ER.

Interesting notes.

Unfortunately for Chicago we had not yet unlocked Joe DiMaggio at this point in the season last year so this time around should be different.

Speaking of Jake Bauers, he pitched in that game.

On an 0-2 count.

One thing that I love to see out the door is the longtime tradition of big zones on 3-0 counts and tiny zones on 0-2 counts. ABS doesn’t care what the count is.

I posted this at least twice during Spring Training & I will say it again:

Chad Patrick will have a better year in 2026 than Freddy Peralta

I hope you are right. He's dialed in so far.
