Does any other MLB team bunt as often as Milwaukee?

I think I heard the other day, we are second in the league in sac bunts.

I would have thought we'd have been comfortably first in that department.

Sproat is battling.

I miss the 70’s when a pitcher was told “We need you to go 7 innings today” & he did … no one was counting pitches & pampering young players. They just did their jobs & got outs until they were removed from the game having completed their assignment.

Hooey on all the stats & analytics. Just keep that ERA low & get me some innings!

Sproat has shown “enough” to stay in the rotation. Hopefully he can go one more.

I think he’s done, he’s near 100 pitches.

Definitely not his best day and the command was lacking but he did enough to keep us in the game.

That 100 pitch count number is arbitrary. Sproat doesn’t seem tired and hopefully he can go another inning.

Your probably right he won’t go another.

Joe Ryan looks great against Yankees today. I believe he's the guy to go after as Woody replacement. That said Peralta meltdown has me interested in a return. Gotta be cheap of course but Hook can get him straightened out.

I want no part of Peralta, NONE, xero, zilch.

Bye-gones.

Literally one single AB is all it took for Murphy to decide Yelich belongs back in the lineup against tough lefties in a run producing spot.

Literally.

I said it last night as soon as he hit it.

What you are watching now is when Vaughn doesn’t cash in on every time he has a run scoring opportunity we pretty much can’t score enough to win.

It's not cool when you are down 1-0 in the 6th, and it feels like we don't have a chance...

The mood is doom and gloom after Woody's issue, and I don't know that this team can really overcome all our issues without BIG change coming down the pike.

Murphy's lineup today, can anyone explain it?  All those lefties with Contreras on the bench and Yelich back to hitting in a run producing spot, due to the fact he hit a homer last night?  Are his pain meds effecting his decisions?  Seriously, are they?

Really feels like Murphy just punted this game for an unknown reason.

But, but, he wins a lot of games...

This is why I've said we need way more offense than pitching.  You can put guys like Gasser and Henderson in the pen to eat up innings along with your top bullpen options in the playoffs.  You can't get away with 4 or 5 complete black holes on offense. like we have seemingly every day, especially against the pitching you face in the playoffs.

But we have the second best record, and score the 2nd highest runs, and have great defense, and we don't need power at the 3B position, and, and, and...

Comically predictable and comically bad. I’m out for the day.

The only thing unpredictable about that is he went to the left side.

Yelich about to be a sub 700 OPS.

Doesn't matter, he's our DH, and must hit in the top of the order, and play against lefties, and...

Christian Yelich is a drag on this lineup. Hitting a dinger every 8 to 12 games is not going to cut it and something needs to be done. He has become an automatic out.

He’s got 2 years left on his deal and I don’t know how you do it.

They aren’t going to DFA him even if he gets even worse. They would hate the PR from that,

But if you’ve got 9 better guys, what do you do at some point? He’s useless on the bench without a position. You going to carry a full roster spot just for a late game lefty platoon guy and occasional pinch runner?

It’s just not a great situation.

2025 vs 2026 and 2024 and 2023 were better than 2025 so this is a 4 year drop off and he's going to be 35 this winter so I don't know what they're thinking but he's not going to magically become a good hitter again.
