The Brewers captured the series behind Logan Henderson on Wednesday, besting Jared Jones and the Pirates bullpen—despite a slight slip-up from JoJo Romero after Henderson’s exit.

The Pirates salvaged the final game of the series, as Kyle Harrison’s dreadful stretch continued, and the Brewers offense was unable to dig out of the early deficit. The Crew fell 7-4, dropping the season series in the process.

Dustin May mirrored Harrison’s struggles as the team meandered from Pittsburgh to Baltimore. However, the Brewers were able to pick up a struggling starter this time around. This included not only a strong offensive day from Jackson Chourio, but strong relief outings from Shane Drohan and DL Hall—as well as Chad Patrick closing out the game in the 10th.

Robert Gasser was having none of the trend of short starts. In a Saturday game in which Pat Murphy was eager to let it ride, Gasser turned in the best start of his career in a pitchers' duel against the O’s Trevor Rogers. In fact, it was a defensive miscue in the 2nd inning that doomed the home team, as it turned into a Joey Ortiz triple. Ortiz trotted home on a Gary Sánchez groundout for the game’s sole run.
