Do you think if you were a Brewer pitcher and consistently sat in the dugout and watch squander after squander you would get a little grumpy. I wonder how Vic would pitch if his team pushed a couple of runs across.

As it is, Santos knows he has one run to play with... and becomes more and more fine... and suddenly he is behind.

This team is so painful to follow. And hold off on the 'well, hoffy, stop following'. I am allowed my venting at these guys lack of mental strength.

Seriously though, I'm gonna be sick if we lose this one against what amounts to a AA pitcher.

not to be a total pesimist but i have a really bad feeling that might happen

Wow, Kent and Drew just walked away knowing they got abused by Santos . . .

They returned the favor.

Who else is not surprised that a rook carrying a +7 ERA making his first ever ML start is shutting us down with almost no effort?

Anyone?

so here we are

a 26 year old AA pitcher who is actually OK in AA. He gives up less than a hit an inning in AA. But when he goes to AAA he gives up more than a hit an inning. In the majors he averages almost 2 hits an inning and 5 walks each nine innings.

Enter the Brewers. 5 innings... 4 hits and 1 walk and 1 run.

You, Milwaukee, are so weak-hearted. You do this against young, no good pitchers because you put pressure on yourselves to do something out of the ordinary.

Somebody get these guys a shrink and explain to them they should not freeze up and choke every time they have a chance to be good.

These guys are scared to be good.

Junior Spivey is depressingly valueless.

He has value! He has value on someone else's team!!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif

Let's see, over the last few weeks we've hit Santana, Oswalt, and Peavey but gotten shut down by Wandy Hernandez (sp?), Darrel May, and this scrub for the Dodgers. What the hell?

And the only thing worse than losing to these bad pitchers is seeing them get shelled in their next start. It happened again tonight with May vs. the sCrubs.

I generally agree with the "why can't we hit this guy?!?" sentiment, but Houlton's sinker is pretty good. Give him credit - he's pitching well.

Get ready for a 2-1 loss. We always make guys like this look like Cy Young. Would love to see an easy win.

Just thought I'd re-post my pre-game prediction in an attempt to jinx it into not coming true.

Yep, in fairness, we would be praising a Brewers spot starter if he pitched as well as Houlton did. Naturally, we look at things from only one perspective.

It really irks me every time I see Wunsch pitching for the Dodgers. He should be *our* cheap LOOGY!

He sure made Jenkins look terrible.
