  1. I don't think people are apprehensive about him not like reporters or fame or the fans or whatever... at least for me, it's the fact that just 5 years ago he was apparently within a few straws of quitting because of his social anxiety. The article isn't exactly encouraging. Being a #1 pitcher in the MLB for a playoff team isn't exactly cut up for people who are uncomfortable with attention or being around others. He does come across as a bit whiney and anti-social... that's his business. Nobody is going to tell him how to live his life.. but I am a bit nervous that he's not going to be 100% mentally there all the time. Hopefully I'm wrong.
  2. FAIL! Link was a lefty :pI know!! I actually walked around as a lefty.. this picture is a deceiving mess.
  3. lol.. I guess that wouldn't exactly be a good one for you. Although you could throw together a sword and shield pretty quick with cardboard.

  5. Maybe so, but I'm sick of the half truths and bogus statements given out to the fan base, as if they are an ignorant pack of morons. Just tell it like it is. We are not and have not been in contention all season. Quit hinting that we are. No one appreciates it.
  6. Definitely starting to sour on Melvin and his outlook on this team and its future. Seriously, we're in contention?
  7. Oh my Gawd. I seriously hope this is some kind of smokescreen, because otherwise I'm going to be very depressed. No one in their right mind believes this team is in contention right now.
  8. 3 straight wins!!! Time to start talking Macha for manager of the year and the Brewers for title competitors!!11!
  9. WOW guys. Let's see. The season is 162 games... we've played 11. Can you please stop overreacting??
  10. I would definitely keep him where he's at. At least for a while until he gets some confidence going, because I think batting in front of Brauny is going to be a big bonus early on.
  11. Is it just me, or does Rickie look awesome? I heard Brian mention that he gained 10-15 lbs over the offseason? Seriously? He was already muscle bound to begin with!
  12. "Ugh. Quantitatively, this is probably a good decision and a solid move for the team. Qualitatively, I guess as a fan, I absolutely hate Davis being back on this team -- nothing interesting about the player, just boring and pedestrian. Now I have to worry that my 20-pack will be full of starts by this nondescript nonentity. Adding Wolf and Davis are the total nightmare scenario for me as a fan, totally bleh guys, absolutely no interest in going to Miller Park to see these guys pitch. I feel like my team spent good money this off-season to become epically dull. I know I won't convince anyone with these statements, but my heart gives this news a giant BOO. Rough 2010 a'comin for me.... Btw, I think this continues to make the Wolf deal look like a huge overpay. Wolf is twice the pitcher Davis is? And for three years instead of one?" Oh come on. You don't love how games drag on and on and onnnnnn with double D walking guys and then finding ways to squeeze out of innings? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif But seriously, when we're fighting it out for a playoff spot come September because of the upgrades we've recently made I'm sure all of those "bleh" feelings will be replaced with excitement. As long as we're winning, I don't think anyone will care how "boring" Davis and Wolf are.
  13. Go exchange Live for 2k8. 2k8 is sooo much better and much more realistic this year.
  14. Yeah...thanks to Dunn who waits until just before the series to have surgery. No Griffey, no Dunn. The Reds have no offense.
  15. Does anyone still hold out hope that the Cubs will some how continue to suck and that we'll win out?
  16. Still have a chance but MUST WIN!!! Wouldn't it be sweet if we could actually get it down to a game after tonight? Tomorrow would be so much more fun.
  17. Win out and Cubs split on the road. That's all I ask for!
  18. Can't lose a belly without dropping fat. Working your abs is only going to make your waist larger from the muscles you're building up.
  19. Cals In That's all it comes down to. If you want to lose weight, take 5 minutes a day to track the cals you eat, average them for a week, and subtract 500 or so a day from there on out to lose a pound a week..or more if you want more weight loss. Screw all of this foo foo diet crap. You can eat whatever you want and if you're burning more cals than you eat, you'll lose weight.
  20. Weeks Braun Hardy Fielder Hall Estrada Jenkins TGJ Pitcher YEAH!
  21. Well, looks like Braun is batting 2nd, according to Braun himself.. heard it on WSSP!!!!
  22. Woo, and down goes Cincy and St Louis!!!!
  23. Only 4.5 games back of the wild card leading Reds with Cincy facing the WhiteSox again today we could possibly be only 3.5 back after the games tonight!
  24. woo, glad to see prince back in there. But I'm a little ticked to see Yost is playing Clark again. Stick Hall in center and let JJ and Rickie get the experience they need.
