Ford Frick Nominees

[Weirdos19]

Yes, Joe Morgan is nominated for the Ford C Frick Award.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Everybody else nominated has at least 25 years of broadcasting in the Majors.

I have to believe this is a joke. Morgan may be the worst color commentator I've heard outside of Tim McCarver.

Say it ain't so Joe!

Try Ron Santo on the radio. At least with Morgan, you can turn it on mute and still know what's going on.

Morgan was placed on the ballot because of his showing in the fan balloting. To be fair, and to the fans' credit, over two thirds voted for Joe Nuxhall.

I think there's a policy that X number of broadcasters from the fan voting will be placed before the electors. With some great broadcasters not having yet received this award, I think the winner will end up being a good choice.

Say what you want about Joe Morgan and the insight he provides, but there's something about Morgan and Miller's voices that I really like together on a Sunday evening in late summer.
