Why not go after the Rockies' Ian Stewart?

It seems like he has fallen out of favor with the Rockies and the guy has a bunch of potential. He is blocked at 3B by Atkins and switched to 2b where supposedly Jayson Nix will go into camp as their starter. I am sure the Rockies could use some SP which the Brewers have plenty of.

if you can get him cheap (one of the extra SP), sure. I doubt he'll be cheap, though. And the team has committed to Hall at 3b.

I think they'd have to give up a good arm and someone but it would be worth it. The guy has the makings of a solid Mjor Leaguer and I am really not sold on Hall at all, but hopefully I am wrong.

I think the Rockies will be keeping Stewart and trading away Atkins. They are investing their cash into Holliday, Troy T. and trying to sign Hawpe.

True I should have put Atkins or Stewart. It just seems like they keep moving Stewart around though so they might be willing to trade him.

If we could get him for Cappy that'd be very interesting. I know we have Hall at third but even next year having Hall back in the OF with Ian at third would be possible
