I live down here, and the people who I am close with and are Cardinals fans are generally awesome. The general fan base is extraordinarily annoying and self-entitled, if that makes sense. People are generally nice when I go to games, but when they find out that we've live here for five years, almost everyone says: "Any you're not a Cardinals fan now?" They're completely serious. I know it's not really insulting, but I find it very insulting for some reason. I lived in Wisconsin for 28 years and never said that to Vikings, Bears, Cubs, etc. fans. I don't get it. It is kind of ridiculous, I catch constant crap for wearing Brewers/Packers stuff and I always ask well if you lived somewhere else would you be a fan of their teams, but usually is followed with a blank stare because no one ever moves away from STL if they were born here. We've probably ran into each other at some point in the past five years at a game, for some reason I always end up sitting around other Brewer fans, my Cardinal fan girlfriend is always shocked that it works out that way. I'm sitting in the bleachers tomorrow. My folks are coming down and my dad could not believe that bleacher tickets were $98, then I told him they are normally like $35. Pretty shocked that there are still tickets.

You could still get tickets for todays game as of yesterday

I am going to game 4. I live here and will say that the fans have been generally great to me while wearing Brewers gear. Every game there have been jerks but they usually are the ones that will start talking smack as they are walking away from you but there are jerks at every stadium.

Do not watch this unless you want to be highly annoyed http://www.ksdk.com/video...aspx?bctid=1213252978001 I don't mind people destroying Morgan but the Uecker vs Shannon part enraged me.

Sadly he is their only tv broadcaster they have that doesn't make me want to smash my tv, he just makes me want to throw my beer at it.

What Phillips said was his opinion and seems to be the opinion of people who hate the Cards, I agree with some and don't agree with some regardless there was no reason to say it other to start something. Whining about someone being whiney makes then pretty much the same. It seems Reds players and fans love to whine about the Cardinals being whiney. Cueto ended a players career because he felt the need to kick him with spikes, that is worse then anything anyone on the Cardinals has ever done. The "Cadillacs around the bases" is just a dumb thing to complain about in today's game because lots of players doing this, Phillips enjoys doing this as much as anyone I've seen. I meant the Reds have no rivalries now, or when that incident happened.

I hate the Reds more and more everyday. A lot of it has with me living in St. Louis probably but they seem to be getting to Cubs/Cards level pretty quickly. It just feels like they so desperately want a rivalry or want be noticed so badly they do or just say outrageous stuff on purpose. The Cards and their announcers drive me crazy but players like Johnny cueto and Brandon Phillips are way worse then anyone on the Cards or Cubs.

Well since he was a hitting coach I figured it would be ok to offer this here. I got this at a card show here in St. Louis it is psa/dna authenticated. http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u269/apirk72/DSCN0887.jpg $45 shipped

If I remember correctly he changed it the September before last year and he hit well that September. I remember him being a huge sleeper for Fantasy baseball before the season started because of it.

    up for any interest
  24. apirk
Yeah the news in STL is that he is going to come out and break off talks now. I knew that info was BS, but I should have known since it came from a St. Louis sportswriter.
  25. apirk
Completely unofficial but someone whose uncle who is a sports writer for the Post said that they signed Albert but out of respect to Musial getting his award on Monday they will not announce it until Tuesday or Wednesday. I think this is probably BS just because the Post has the worst sports page of any local paper of any of the places I've lived but I guess it was announced at a charity event last night. I've heard this nowhere else though and I think it would be all over the place.
