- Nashville Sounds placed RHP Carlos Rodriguez on the 7-day injured list retroactive to May 30, 2025.
Awaiting word on Carlos' status and thinking back to his yeoman effort in the recent MLB "rain-delay" win, and the potential impact on him currently.
Final: Indianapolis (Pirates) 8, Nashville 4

Rosario, Alfaro Homer in Sounds 8-4 Loss to Indians - Sounds Drop First Series Since Early April
Here's the Jacob Misiorowski game log for 2025. Among the ugly that was Saturday night's mound effort, was Misiorowski's first HBP of the year. In 2023 and 2024, there had been 31 plunkings. Wild pitches in 2025? That would be two, vs. 28 in those prior two seasons. Let's take a deep breath...
In an awkward way, this poor outing takes a ton of pressure off the Brewers front office. Never mind the on-the-cusp of Super Two arbitration date balancing act, this also temporarily alleviates the 40-man roster crunch decisions, and what to do with the overall excess (a welcome excess, to be sure) of the burgeoning big-league rotation depth.
Get them next time, Jacob. Oh, and the bullpen arms needed work as well, so there's that.
You'll be able to see the Eddie Rosario and Jorge Alfaro home runs at the Sounds' "X" feed, but thankfully you won't see any of the 18 strikeouts via Nashville at-bats, shared among all nine in the lineup.
The Sounds did go 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts. Anthony Seigler, playing second base, K'd twice but reached base in his other three plate appearances. The Brewers will have a 40-man roster decision to make on the soon-to-be-26-year-old catcher-infielder come October. Things would be much tidier if the organization simply offers a sweeter-than-normal salary to return on another minor league pact for 2026.

Final: Rocket City (Angels) 2, Biloxi 1

Hunt, Bullpen Star in 2-1 Shuckers Loss to Trash Pandas - Staff holds Trash Pandas to two runs or less for third time in last four games
First a thank you for the work done preparing the daily media notes (we are hopeful that Nashville will once again join the other affiliates in making online versions available soon). We don't expect everyone to pore over each linked version daily, but you will always learn something when you do.
Lost in the early portion of this game was Bladimir Restituyo getting robbed of at least one RBI, and likely two, on this fantastic catch by the Trash Panda's Caleb Ketchup. If those aren't the two best names typed into a single sentence anywhere in the baseball webisphere this morning, I'd be shocked.
As long as we're looking at starting pitcher 2025 game logs today, yes, we're starting to see more and more of what made KC Hunt the Brewers Organizational Co-Pitcher of 2024 (along with Craig Yoho). Here's the Hunt log. Now, it's unfair to Hunt to do so, but we're linking to the Rocket City "X" feed so you can see both of the solo home runs that were surrendered (note - it was Harry Potter Day there, I missed all the references as a non-fan). Hat tip to the batter on the first blast, but Hunt surely wishes he had that second pitch back.
I've got one word of warning to KC, along with Brandon Woodruff, Tyson Hardin, and all the Brewer connections to Mississippi State: Northeastern University is coming for you in today's College World Series elimination game rematch. Have to let my Massachusetts roots shine once in a while - never the Red Sox, obviously. Voice of the Shuckers Javik Blake (also a Bay State non-Bosox fan native) hears me.
Between the broken bat and the infield positioning, this may be the least imposing RBI knock of the minor league season. Yet it was all the Shuckers could muster:
Regarding two other prominent Biloxi position players, these observations are from my fellow Link Reporter @Ro Mueller:
- Tough stretch for Cooper Pratt: 2 for his last 30 (both singles), 2 BB, 2 HBP, 8 Ks, 1 RBI, 0 SB, 1 CS. Pratt hit 3 ground balls and K’d in an 0-for-4 day.
- Similar for Brock Wilken: 2 for last 31, including an 0-for-4 day with 3 Ks in this one.
Biloxi and Rocket City have combined for 19 (!) runs through the first five games of this series.

Final: Wisconsin 4, Peoria (Cardinals) 3, 11 innings

Rattlers Score Two in Eleventh Inning for Walkoff Win - Wisconsin rallies past Peoria for extra-inning victory
What a fun one on Star Wars Day! (I'm better with those references, but not by much). Read Chris' recap link above, then start your clicking below:
Continuing the theme of Mike Boeve's RBI single above, the four Wisconsin runs came across on less-than-beefy circumstances, although Tayden Hall's opposite field game-winner was hardly shallow.
Blake Burke with two more hits, plus a walk. All due respect to Ernesto Martinez in Nashville (five years older and dinged up), but it's not easy getting used to having a true first-base only high-end prospect in the system performing well as Burke is. It's been a while.
Cheering for infielder Daniel Guilarte (modest similarity to the last name of yours truly), but he's just an 0-for-23 away from having his average drop below .100. What MLB name should we apply to that line? Was going to go with Ben Sheets and his .076 BA over 449 AB's but need a viable position player alternative.
Canceled: Salem (Red Sox) at Carolina, wet grounds
I was about to offer condolences to the Mudcats front office on the loss of revenue from an eliminated Saturday contest. Then I remembered that's Carolina owner Mark Attanasio's money! Hopefully that won't be a problem the next time the Brewers want to make a Rob Z type acquisition:
The teams wrap up their series on Sunday.
No June swoons allowed, you got that? Enjoy a four-pack of afternoon action, with the latest start time for Biloxi, where Coleman Crow seeks missing-in-action-as-of-late run support in Madison, Alabama. Enjoy your Sunday, everyone!
