The Mets were in town on Monday, sending old friend Freddy Peralta to the mound to duel against Jacob Misiorowski in the series opener. The Brewers were all over their former ace, tagging Peralta for seven runs, highlighted by homers from Cooper Pratt and Andrew Vaughn. Meanwhile, their new rotation frontman worked four innings of one-run baseball, exiting after reaching a conservative pitch count. The Brewers would eventually close out the game 8-3.

New York took their turn getting the better of one of their former pitchers, chasing Brandon Sproat from the ballgame early, while Zac Thornton was dominant, throwing six scoreless. The Mets bullpen behind him then finished the job and completed the shutout 4-0 to even the series.

Logan Henderson and the Brewers won the series on Wednesday, getting some extra help from a career day from Joey Ortiz, who reached base all four times he came to the plate and finished a home run short of the cycle.

There wasn’t much going right for the Brewers and Shane Drohan on Friday; despite getting a leadoff home run from Christian Yelich, the contest was all Rockies. They’d get 5.1 innings from Tomoyuki Sugano, who’d only surrendered one more run after Yelich’s leadoff big fly on a solo homer from Brice Turang.

Luis Lara and Cooper Pratt were the headliners as the Brewers evened the series against Colorado, with both rookies reaching base three times and driving in three runs each. On the pitching side, Robert Gasser delivered his second consecutive strong outing, working through six innings while only surrendering a pair of runs.

Jacob Misiorowski was on the bump for his second start of the week in the rubber match, and despite another designed short start, the young Brewer righty continued to make history. The day's broken record was consecutive strikeouts to start a game in franchise history, while the offense gave him all the support he needed, getting the better of Kyle Freeland to capture the series.
