  1. I have a question. Why does hart catch that ball? I suppose getting the out is more important, but with the ACE out there isn't it worth the chance? As I write this I see in this case it doesn't matter, but in general, with Ben getting outs around 70% of the time, why not let the foul ball land and try to avoid the runner tagging home?
  2. was I hearing the a-word chants we hear at Badger games so often? I've never heard that at a Brewer game so loud. Especially not on TV
  3. I think he's at least a slight upgrade from Braun at 3rd...
  4. Yeah. I certainly hope he makes it interesting. If he gets his stuff back he's still young enough that he could become a factor in the bullpen in the future. With all the money we have invested in our current pen, I would love to have some young arms make their way up the system so we can reallocate some of that money to long-term contracts for the young guys
  5. I know this topic has been beaten to death in the past, and that by now most figure that he is done, but I can't help but pull for this guy to someday crack the Majors, if only for a cup of coffee. Seeing Para make the comeback makes me want it even more for Jones and Rodgers. Does anyone know where or if he will be playing next year? I know he was DFA'd a while back, but I didn't hear anything beyond that. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
  6. I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but how is Mike's stuff looking these days. I see he's not performing all that well, but I haven't heard anything about his velocity. Any info would be great, thanks.
  7. I don't see why so many people are down on the Marlins. Sure they played a little over their heads last year, but some of that will be made up by natural progression of their young players. When do Willis and Johnson return, anyway?
  8. However, if we trade Davis, who wants more than he is worth to us right now, we can turn Jenkins and Mench into some experienced pitching until the kids are ready
  9. I figured since we've discussed both Crawford and Baldelli, I'd bring up Gomes for discussion. Nobody seems to even mention Gomes in consideration for the outfield. In fact, in a recent ESPN article, they mention that they have Baldelli in center, Young in right, and possibly moving Upton to left, and then not yet having a spot for Dukes. They didn't even mention the fact that just last year Gomes put up a .909 ops at the age of 24. Still only 25, is he someone the Brewers should look into? He's coming off a down year, but still showed the ability to walk some.He had a high obp the year before too. I don't know about his defensive abilities, but he seems the least flashy player in their outfield, and I believe he's older than Baldelli, and might have more service time. I think he is a good player to take a chance on. He's young, has had some success, is unnappreciated on a team that is loaded at his position with more on the way. thoughts?
  10. Can someone fill me in as to why The D-Rays would trade Crawford? I know they have Baldelli and young, but who is forcing them to get rid of one? and why get rid of a cheap young outfielder when they have use of the DH? thansk for the response to my FIRST POST. I have been reading here for years, and I finally decided to say something
