Don't expect the Twins to be looking to trade Santana anytime soon. He has started out of necessity this year a few times and I think when the time comes that they need to, they will. For now, Gardenhire loves to bring him out of the bullpen. That's what I hear.

One of the great things to happen in baseball is the disappearance of artificial turf fields. The Philly argument is kind of irrelevent since they will have a grass field next year with their new ballpark. That leaves: Minny Toronto Montreal/San Juan (both have artificial turf) Tampa Bay (Next Turf or whatever you call it) That means as of next year all outdoor only stadiums will have grass fields except for San Juan.

...with the post on watching Prior's pitch count. HAHAHAHA!!!!!! Hope Dusty enjoys his supper tonight. I know the pitch count thing is important, but they're in a pennant race and I think you gotta ride your horse in a one run game. Unless they have Gagne or Smoltz, that's a bad decision.

....or should I say Cubs HR Derby tonight. Yikes. Q was a joke. I swear he looked out of gas after warming up and walking to the dugout. Hopefully Sheets keeps up his mastery of the Cubs tomorrow.

I'd like to see the Brewers win again in person sometime this year. I've got quite a losing streak working.....would be fun to beat Minnesoooooooooooooooooota 2 in a row.

That's why I and others have been screaming to not let him pitch anymore. I didn't think it could get any lower than it's been but he did it. I usually have no sympathy for professional athletes but yes, for his sake put him in the bullpen if you're going to keep him around. Buckethead actually said there's nobody who can step in to help? God help the BrewCrew. Everybody now...BUR-BA, BUR-BA!!!!!

Also remember, earlier this year the Cardinals were peeved when the Rockies AT COORS FIELD were stealing bases ahead by 5 or 6 runs in the middle innings. Like you never see 6 run leads evaporate in that launching pad. The Rockies should have agreed to quit stealing bases as long as the Cardinals agreed to stop trying to hit home runs.

Whether you like LaRussa or not, he always has a chip on his shoulder and so do his teams it seems. I hadn't thought about it until just now but you can probably take it to the bank that a Brewer will get popped.

I wonder what the over/under is whether Rusch's 7.77 ERA will go down or up. As I showed in a thread the other day, remarkably his ERA goes up with just about every start. It's a sad state of affairs when we have to trot this bozo out again.
