  1. I thought Ned did a fine job as far as I could tell, but when Bush started letting guys on in the ninth I had to see what the heck was going on. When there were 2 on and he was still in the game is the point I believe I said "I officially disagree with Ned".....without seeing the game on TV my guess was that he was out of gas. So by giving Buch 'a chance' to keep the shutout, he essentially took away 'the chance' for Cordero (or whoever) to come in with much less pressure. That's my take on things. IMO Ned likes to give guys every opportunity to get'er'done; the only problem with that is that it puts more pressure on the rest of the guys when he finally has to yank Bush. 4-1 with two guys in scoring position and Carlos at the plate is much higher pressure.... than 4-0 with a runner on 1st and 2nd.
  2. hopefully they go extras here with the cards
  3. Argo you should fit in great here. Always blaming Yost. Ned was right on the money with this one and all managers would do the same thing. I don't always blame yost. I sure won't say nice job today though. Luckily I'm not the manager then b/c Bush would be being interviewed right now about his great 8 inning performance W.
  4. The guy had a shutout going. He was not going to get taken out after a couple of batters got on. From almost a shutout to praying for a W. 8+ innings is enough for me, doesn't matter if it's 4-0 or 4-1 or 10-9. Why wait until the game is in doubt to make a change?
  5. Ned wants to make sure we lose this I guess..........
  6. I officially disagree with Nedly
  7. I can not see the game.... I still think Bush needs the hook if Loretta gets on. Is that the concensus? and who is warming up?
  8. This stuff cracks me up. The guy isn't good enough to be a pitcher on a team that is not exactly the Braves of the 90's and he thinks that he will play hardball by not showing up in AAA ball??? :lol I could imagine how this would go at work. Me: Hey, I want that big, cool, important project. Boss: No, you don't have the experience and need to prove yourself more first. We'll give you a chance to prove yourself with this smaller project and maybe by the end of the year you can play with the big boys. Me: I'm not coming to work the rest of this week. Boss: Don't bother showing up next week or the week after that either.
  9. On a brighter note, from here to eternity I will never fear 'Lights Out Lidge" again. That guy has lost something and I hope he can continue his career in the NL central.... With that, I fully expect him to become a Brewer at some point.
  10. So where was Cordero when Biggio came to the plate with the bases juiced? If he's saving Cordero for the top of the order, he should be running out there like his feet are on fire when Biggio shows up an inning early with the bases loaded. Did Ned, Dale, and Mike think Cordero was the man for the job only if it was a fresh inning? The top of the order is less of a threat with the bases loaded? If Ned said that, he is an idiot because the top of the order showed up and Coco diddn't.
