The #FreeNateOrf brigade has gone quiet lately -
[sarcasm]Ah yes, time to put in our stopper Jacob Barnes[/sarcasm]

4 hits, 2 walks in 6 innings for 1 WHIP. Yeah I was just going to post "my bad." I just felt like there were runners on every inning but I forgot about some of those 1-2-3 innings he had sprinkled in there.
-
Unpopular opinion alert...Miley is pitching pretty well, even though his WHIP tonight must be ridiculous
-
Me watching Sedar's decision-making that inning
-
He sends Miley LOL
-
The one time Sedar doesn't send em ughhhhhh
-
Where the heck was that pitch? LOLOLOL

Christian Yelich was on Pardon My Take to talk about making his first All Star Game, the move from Miami to Milwaukee, Jose Fernandez's tragic passing and how the team coped with it, and the one and only time he got tossed from an MLB game (30:48 - 66:01). There were some other *ahem* NSFW topics discussed as well. https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/pardon-my-take/e/55376129

Williams has every right to go to Counsell in the clubhouse and give him the one fingered salute

Without bothering to look, I'm sure that's true of alot of teams. September seems like a month MLB schedules a bunch of off days. Sept off Days in the Division: Brewers: 4 Cubs: 2 Cards: 3 Pirates: 3 Reds: 3 So yes, not WAY more than the others but the most in the division.
-
Our saving grace is we have an off day every week of September. Hopefully playing all these extra games in the first half will keep us fresh down to the finish line.
-
I'm pretty sure that has been the case for a while now. Couple of seasons at least. Pretty much the case around MLB right now.
-
I'm watching on MLB.tv and they have been running this Keytruda ad nonstop for the past month or so. I'm happy the guy in the commercial is living longer with cancer but the commercial is driving me insane!

Irrespective of that double play, I think it's time DS says this to Miley http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/4833/3275/1600/NEXT_logo.0.jpg

Congrats to Kratz on his first career stolen base. Boo to all the people after him that stuck out.

The ASG is first and foremost a vehicle for the league to market it's stars and to have them (mostly) all be on the same field at the same time. While some players may miss out on AS game bonuses because Cal or Jeter get voted in by fans, the league would much rather the fans get to see who they want to see vs. having them replaced by some relative "unknown" having a good season. The final vote I think allows for the fans to recognize someone who is having a good season but is not totally on the fan's radar. I agree that the 1 AS per team is a good rule, as it provides fans of all teams a reason to watch vs. the NBA where the West could be represented by the entire Warriors starting 5. Anything that drives more fans to watch baseball is a good thing.
