  1. I second Team Zim-Zam lol
  2. Of course Jody Gerut hits for the cycle in the game I miss. Epic fail on my part.
  3. I'm not quite sure how 6'9 215 (at the age of 20) is that much smaller and shorter than 6'10" 230. As I said, I'd see his ceiling as Rashard Lewis. Picking 15, and getting a guy as a rookie who can fill minutes at the 3 or the 4, rebound, and play solid defense is more than the Bucks can ask for. I just don't think he'll come out and be able to rebound or play defense just yet. Do I think they pick him? Not really. Having him, Ilyasova and Delfino would be pretty redundant. well he's listed 6'8" 200lbs most places I've seen and generally they're pretty generous most of the time. It'll be interesting to see how he measures out. If he has a 7 foot wingspan, he'd be a lot more attractive as a prospect. He's way too slight to ever play the NBA 4 so he will have to play the 3 probably which just screams bust to me. Can you imagine him vs the Josh Smiths and Al Horfords of the league? His best chance to stick in the league it to become a primarily a spot up 3 point shooter of the bench probably. If ever becomes the player Mike Dunleavy Jr. has I'll be surprised honestly, you guys are underselling Dunleavy. He almost averaged 20ppg the last year he was healthy. How is he better than Kyle Singler who gets no hype? Luke Babbit is another guy who is similar who might be there in the 2nd round or late 1st.
  4. Dang, that could of been us losing by 43.
  5. I'm not seeing Rashard Lewis. Lewis is a lot bigger, better athlete, more length. It'll be interesting to see how Hayward measures out at the combine. I just can't see Hayward beating NBA athletes off the dribble in the NBA and he isn't strong enough to bang down low, his "diverse offense" now becomes a lot less diverse. He'll have to primarily be an outside shooter in the NBA. He only shoot 29% from the college 3 this past season too so that's somewhat concerning. I def don't see him being able to rebound at 4 or guard them in the NBA like he did in college either so he'll have to change position which is a red flag for me. I think some are overrating Hayward because of Butler's Cinderella run. How is Gordon Hayward better than Kyle Singler? Kyle Singler wasn't even sure he'd go in the 1st round so he pulled out. Don't get me wrong, he'll find a home in the NBA but I can't see being a starting SF on a good team in the NBA. I don't want that with the 15th pick.
  6. I dunno, it just turns out that way most of the time in basketball. You like to make comparisons on similar body type and game. Most of these comparisons have been on a guy for a long time.
  7. Well Orton was coming off an injury too so that could be part of the reason he didn't get that much playing time but I'll plead ignorance on that. I'd be for a "safer" pick but unfortunately there usually aren't safe bigs with NBA size and athleticism at that point of the draft. If Cole Aldrich or Ekpe Udoh were there I'd take them but I'm not confident that they will so otherwise I think Daniel Orton and Hassan Whiteside are def guys I'd like too look at if we go looking for a big at 15. Patrick Patterson is anything but a safe pick. He doesn't have an NBA position, is a poor defender, weak rebounder. I just don't think he'll translate to the NBA well. We already have a superior player in Mbah A Moute.
  8. Well gotta remember, we're drafting this guy for what he can do in the NBA not what he did back in college. That Kentucky team was pretty dang stacked and after a lil poking around on the internet it sounds like he has a pretty dang good work ethic. Brandon Jennings didn't play much in Europe either and that just made his drive even stronger. Kid is 6'10" 260 and athletic so you def want to take a look at least. I agree Novak and probably Korver are probably unfair comparisons for Hayward but Dunleavy seems about spot on. I think Dunleavy is probably the ceiling for the guy which isn't that bad and worst case scenario is Luke Jackson/Adam Morrison. Not the direction I want this team to go in. Dunleavy is bigger and a better shooter.
  9. Size mostly, Patterson is vastly undersized for an NBA 4. He's smaller than Mbah A Moute and he's not known for his defense either. Limited upside, not that he'll be bad player in the league but I want no part of him at 15. He doesn't bring anything Ilyasova and Mbah A Moute don't. Orton is big and could back up at the 5, really young and has a lot of potential. After watching our series with the Hawks we need some size and athleticism.
  10. Evan Anderson can take his role now. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  11. Well, it was great season. If someone told me before the season that we'd be the 6th seed and take our playoff opponent to the brink I'd be happy. To do it without Redd and Bogut just makes it even more impressive. I know a lot of people hate Redd now but you can't deny we could of used a HEALTHY Mike Redd this series. A lot of what ifs from this season but time to move on, this team is going to be something in the years to come with Jennings and Bogut. This team is one great player away from contending I think. I think I'm going to hop on the trade for Iguodala train. We'd have to take on Elton Brand and his huge contract but I think Elton could be useful to us too at the 4 and backup 5. John Salmons is a free agent and I'd bring him back as long as he's reasonable with his contract or else I'd go after Ray Allen who I would think would only be expecting like MLE at this point of his career. If we don't trade our 1st round pick I'd like to look at guys like Ekpe Udoh, Greg Monroe, Cole Aldrich, Hassan Whiteside, Daniel Orton, Xavier Henry, Paul George, Stanley Robinson. Interesting guys in late 1st or 2nd imo like Craig Brackins, Luke Babbit, Brian Zoubek, Jarvis Varnardo, Matt Bouldin, Lance Stephenson(if Skiles thinks he can handle him), Jordan Crawford, Sharron Collins. Guys I'm pretty sure I don't want with our 1st are Gordon Hayward, Patrick Patterson, Donatas Motiejunas(I haven't seen any of him but his scouting report reads like another soft euro bust) or Devin Ebanks.
  12. Wow this was a bad game. Could of easily won if we actually hit some open shots. Refs were terrible in the 4th quarter but hard to blame them with an offensive performance like this. Atlanta didn't play well at all, we just played worse.
  13. if there is shenanigans we riot jk of course ;-)
  14. Coming to expect this altho we are playing the juggernaut known as the Padres
  15. I agree with JoeHova, I wouldn't give Joe Johnson the max. I don't know if I'd call Joe Johnson unselfish either. He plays a lot Michael Redd with the iso plays. That is Atlanta's set offense tho it seems. Get to ball to Johnson, Crawford, or Horford and stand around and watch them work. He's an amazing shot maker tho. Charles Barkley was really on to something when he talked about this team having issues. Mike Woodson is a terrible coach and they have a ton of talented "imma get mine" low IQ players. That might get it done in the regular season but it aint happening in the playoffs.
  16. Yea Salmons can opt out and he probably will. I'd like him back but it has to be at the right price. I don't think I want to pay the guy 10 mil+ a season or anything for a guy who will be 31 next season. Ray Allen will be a FA this offseason, I think he could be a nice guy to go after if Salmons wants big money. He probably won't command anymore than MLE and would probably be interested in coming back to Milwaukee to finish his career. Maybe we could resign Luke Ridnour too then with the money we save. I'm not too familiar with the Bucks financial situation this summer tho.
  17. The Hawks can only get by on athleticism and talented individual players so long. The teams is terrible coached, their offense all iso plays and their switching defense is easily taken advantage of. They're way overcompensating for Bibby and Crawford on defense, they're bad on defense but they're creating mismatches for themselves by switching Josh Smith or Al Horford away from the basket. They lack composure and toughness to top it off. They don't play team basketball. This series just goes to show how important a good coach is.
  18. Edmonds hurt his back watching homers sail over his head yesterday.
  19. Congrats to The McGehee's. Cooper Reece is an interesting name. I wonder what are the chances we can get Casey on the Allstar team this year.
