  1. Man, the few times I'm home for a night game it seems to always be a blowout either by the Brewers or the other team. Those games are so boring to watch. Ah well, at least today it is for the right side.
  2. I saw Team America as well and loved it, but hey I even liked Baseketball. The songs were the greatest part but the destruction of Paris in the beginning and the arab disguise process (tan face and add lots of hair anywhere) were classic too. I agree the left bashing was kinda weak and way to over the top to be biting. They've done much better work on South Park, the Rob Reiner one being my favorite. And it seems Al missed the whole point of the movie. Oh well, at least he found it funny.
  3. Well Branyan had a 970 OPS in August and is still better defensively. I hope Helms plays well enough to be attractive to a team that they could trade him to, but I would still much rather start Branyan next year. Or sign someone better than both.
  4. Are there no options in the minors? (there are) Does Obermueller get a another chance after doing, at best, passable, but getting a fluke win by getting the run support of a month of Sheets. How many chances does Obermueller get, I couldn't believe it when I saw he was starting today, and though it was cool they won, it wasn't exactly because of him. I did see Pedro for the first time and he looked pretty good. Only wish there were more of the kids playing, I'm pretty sure Krynzel has had enough transition time Ned...
  5. "This last road trip proved that every team in the NL Central has a better offensive team" This has proven pretty much every team in MLB has a better offense than the Brewers. Man without Overbay the Expos would be laughing heartily at us. This offense reminds me of the pitching staffs of years past, just complete suckitude.
  6. "I know when we drafted Weeks it was said that he was a very hard worker off the field' You have to remember that was pre 4 million dollars, or whatever they paid him. As his website shows, he cares a lot more about money than baseball at this point. Hopefully he can change that.
  7. Is Bennett capable of hitting a fly ball? He has the GIDP skill down pat, as long as he is just going to make outs, they need to teach him a more diverse way of doing it. And Adams just rocks.......
  8. And Weeks tests the patience of all Brewer fans for yet another night. C'mon, lets start earning our millions....
  9. Grieve has one off game and he is out again? Boo....
  10. Even if I think this isn't the best lineup I'll give Yost props for creativity. Even if it is misplaced creativity, beggars can't be choosers. As long as the stupid no-change lineup has been disrupted I regard that as a positive.
  11. It seems every time they go for this they throw out some crap lineup. Hopefully this time, especially in front of the home crowd they put out a Hall and Grieve lineup in addition to the regulars. If it is Consull and Clark again, they are just asking for another loss, no matter what the results actually are.
  12. I agree with the pitching improvment. I don't think it is coincedence that it happened with the demotion of hernadez and ford. I'm just glad that, at least with the pitching, when you perform badly they will change things up. Kinney sucked, he's in the bullpen, Hernadez sucked, he's in AAA, Ford sucked, he's in the DL, Obie sucked, he hasn't pitched in 3 weeks. And Kinney has improved in the bullpen and Obie would also I believe be fine there. Our bullpen has always had enough candidates for it, just never picked the right candidates. Though somehow Durrington escaped this trend, at least for pitching the org is going for some kind of production based formula which has been lacking in recent years. Hopefully they will apply this to Leifer sooner than later.
  13. I wish umpires would occasionally admit they are wrong. It seems like they think it would be some affront to their manhood. And apparantly yost has decided that hart is a bad hitter and unworthy of even a ph at bat but I wish I could see some proof of that myself.
  14. Man, if that Hinton pic is after he gained 20 lbs, I shudder to think what he looked like previous to that. He still looks pretty thin, at least in that picture.
  15. "At least noone is calling for a sweep again.... shesshhh" I'll bite. SWEEP!!! YEAH!!! BEAT SOME SPOS!!!! Well, that was fun and totally innapropriate. Whee....
  16. "I don't understand where this comment came from, and quite frankly its quite negative." I guess sarcasm justs goes right by some people. Too bad.
  17. "He needs to work on and develop an out pitch." He's pretty old and doesn't walk people which would be rewarded in HD way less than in Huntsville. HD should just be a place to put our more iffy pitchers. If they do well, or at least have good K/BB or K/IP or WHIP, like Saenz this year, then great. HD should be a good thinner for our less sure prospects not a pain in the ass to our top ones.
  18. "no Corey Hart sightings in a while now" Found this on the brewers website. brewers.mlb.com/NASApp/ml...p&c_id=mil
  19. Brian, it should be obvious by now that I suck at the whole sarcasm thing. The smiley faces are key to solving the mystery of sarcasm. At least on this board.
  20. Are you actually spending time thinking up these predictions, or are they just random numbers? You have almost none of these prospects doing anything substantial in the majors, yet almost all of them are making at least AAA in your fantasyland. The normal prospect path is not for every single prospect to make AAA then fizzle. A lot never get out of A-ball, some never out of rookie ball. I don't know really what the point of this post is, I guess the predictions are more confusing than anything, except for the obvious fact that they are all completely wrong.
