  1. If Graffy goes on the DL, according to the radio, they could call Weeks right away.
  2. We need Vargas to retain his lucky charm status tonight (and ideally go 8 innings).
  3. Let's hope Willieball comes through in the ninth.
  4. The Mets seem to really know how to wear out a pitcher.
  5. What happened? I'm convinced that Zambrano's arm has been filled with cortisone for the past month.
  6. Yeah that worked out well! With Zambrano having 88 pitches through 5 innings & the cubs bullpen needing a break. Does Piniella pull him after 6 or run his pitch total up? Or bring in Wood? The Cubs never seemed overly concerned about Zambrano's pitch count. IIRC, he leads the league in Pitcher Abuse points.
  7. The Phillies catcher Barajas has been put on the DL, so the Brewers should be facing a somewhat damaged Phillies team.
  8. Spurling pitched really well on Tuesday though.
  9. I think they'll leave Gross down there a little longer. My wild guess is that if Wise has options, he'll get sent down.
  10. who would catch if Estrada would be moved? I really dont think Damian Miller can handle the everyday job anymore and be effective I don't think he's been catching much lately, but if Estrada is really that bad, then you could maybe call up Vinny Rottino.
  11. Dale Sveum probably sits in Yost's office from time-to-time imagining.
  12. I hope this leads to an all-team meeting and something positive.
  13. Obligatory snark: They can't even fight with the "passion" of the Cubs.
  14. Hart is hitting again. The injury doesn't seem to be affecting Prince. Shousey pitched well.
  15. I really think the Cubs are starting to cool off while the Brewers might be starting to heat up. So, I'm going to say, the Brewers are going to win the division.
  16. Parra did well against one of the best teams in the National League. Fielder is hitting home runs again.
  17. Doesn't Fielder have to wait three more years before he's a free agent?
  18. Why would the Dbacks drop him though?
  19. Can anyone explain why Gagne would have a clause that allows him to veto trades to Boston but not Milwaukee?
  20. According to MLBtraderumors, Gagne couldn't nix a trade to the Brewers, and supposedly it would be for Gwynn.
  21. I'd be really shocked if Hall was traded. This year, he's been one of the faces of the team.
  22. I like Turnbow, and would be sad to see him go, but I wouldn't mind seeing him pitch for the Red Sox. Then again, could he handle the pressure there?
  23. If this season were a movie, then the Brewers finished the second act on Sunday. They look beaten up and ready to give in. The rich kids everyone expects to win (The Cubs) are inches away, while the scrappy Brewers have lost some close games. Hope is running low. Even their home team paper's polls say they're going to lose. Now's when someone steps up, gives an emotionally moving speech, maybe points a picture of a lady in the locker room, and then we enter the comeback montage sequence where first they start out by lifting weights and running up the stairs at the art museum. Then they go on a tear, winning their way into the playoffs... and our hearts.
  24. Jaw drops... Awesome.
