  1. If your tailgate friend also brings the Bud Girls, well maybe a special exemption ... otherwise, NO EXCUSE for bringing Bud products anywhere near The Keg !!
  2. Great Baseball Crowd! Longest baseball-attention-span for Opening Day in recent memory. And only 5%-10% Cubs fans. Several Cubs 'faithful' represented their team in expected fashion by 'slopping' in after the 3rd Inning to enrich our row's environment with thoughtful 4-letter-words and beer sprays. The prototypical Cub dolts were soon removed, not by an usher, but by a mysterious offer of free upgrades to Metavante Club. Thank you neighbor! This year, Brewer Fans came for baseball first, and the party a close second. An awesome day all around!!!
  3. Brewers ink deal with Bourgeois Speedy, versatile ... what is the BFNet projection?

  5. Another vote for the Lodge ...er Loge. Beautiful sightlines, and MP's 2nd Level starts in relatively close proximity to the diamond compared to nearly all other stadiums. We moved upstairs from Field to Loge years ago, no regrets, love the view.

  7. Debunking the Strikeout Myth ... an upcoming episode of Mythbusters? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  8. Hope San Diego sees value in TGJ ... like in a value package for Peavey! Personally I'm glad to see Cammy back for another Untuck year.
  9. Urgh, my old cellphone does NOT have a cool MLB Button ... iPhones are expensive, but way-cool marketing!
  10. E-Mail from the Brewers also indicates 2:30 lots and 3:30 gates. Demand is so high --- I'm quite certain for this game cars will be denied lot entry (i.e. routed back out to the streets) without showing a pre-paid pass.
  11. Add Fox6 Sports Tom Pippens' opening graphic "YOST IS TOAST"
  12. This is HIGHLY PLAUSIBLE speculation. By presenting the "what will YOU DO to achieve results now" question to multiple execs, you're forcing the immediacy of action, CEO-style, and the best Action Plan wins.
  13. Quick vote --- Packers or Brewers?
  14. As long as "Circle Me Rock" signs don't start popping up at The Keg, I'm just fine with our guys.
  15. Nice chart Steve, Option A looks like the clear choice. Option A gives maximum opportunity in the NL Central. I'm VERY thankful our rotation, unlike others (ahem...Cubs), isn't bedraggled entering the stretch run. Video scouting is useful, but Option A has the added benefit that Mets-OR-Phillies batters must wait until Playoffs to face CC's live pitching for the very first time.
  16. If ... Higher Ticket Prices + No Carry-Ins = Keeping CC then oh yeah DO IT !
  17. The thread title briefly brought to mind "Don't Panic, We've Got Leskanic" A timely response to "Panic Thread" --- Michael Hunt's column: JSOnline Sept 2nd Although Yost's quotes won't convert any Ned-haters, Doug Melvin adds useful perspective.
  18. Since Bucky/OSU is a night game, it is conceivable that you score one truly amazing Wisconsin Sports day-night doubleheader. Drive safely!
  19. When the Brewers sign deals with Milwaukee companies as cool as Harley-Davidson, what's not to like ??? Let's get CC on a Hog, maybe keep him in town a few more years
  20. Upon further review, the Cubs have been granted home-field in 3 consecutive seasons: 2006: 7 games at Miller, 9 games at Wrigley 2007: 6 games at Miller, 9 games at Wrigley 2008: 7 games at Miller, 9 games at Wrigley Rather than hastily dumping into the complaint bin, perhaps this is a baseball curiousity meriting open discussion. Sports schedulers' norm is balancing home fields every-other-year whenever possible, so Cubs/Brewers does appear a noteworthy exception.
  21. SWEET! CC deals in beautiful High Definition FSN-WI HD today!!!
  22. The Big Unit's career dominance over the Cubs is truly historic, even as recent as July 21 he outdueled Rich Harden, who spun a gem of his own. Anyone have Webb's and Haren's career stats at Wrigley?
  23. Nielsen DMA National Ranks - Midwest markets Chicago (3) Detroit (11) Twin Cities (15) Cleveland (17) St Louis (21) Pittsburgh (23) KC (31) Cincinnati (34) Milwaukee (35) For complete MLB territories, this is Wikipedia's: MLB Territory Map
  24. Outstanding point Obsessed.Does Brian The Automator give out "Insight of the Day" medals, because you get my vote. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  25. Yup, looks like Pujols has quickly grabbed Annoyance / Nemesis short-list rank alongside certain Cubs
