    I can't speak to his ball hawking exploits at games, but Nick (Happy Youngster) has been a member of the Brewerfan.net softball for a couple of years. During that time he has been a great teammate and a nice guy. We did not go into details at tonight's game and I don't know enough to defend him by refuting all the claims, but his side of the story was significantly different than the Marlins.

    I picked up a Kindle 2 a few days after launch and it's currently my favorite gadget. My wife can't stand the emotionless voice, but I use the text to speech feature on my hour long commute. It basically comes with a free wireless (sprint I believe) connection and I can check my email when I'm on the road without the monthly data plan fee. It's a horribly basic browser, but it works for simple surfing. Books are cheaper and easy to get. Too easy in one instance as screen lag and an impatient click made me the proud owner of Terry Pratchett's Night Watch. They can be returned. I have not played much with PDF books, but as the link below details, charts and graphs will not be your friend. Amazon's basic cover has been well reviewed, but I got an oberon cover for my birthday.     (Hmm, it appears the forum has eaten my previous message and failed to regurgitate my post. Lovely.) I did not intend to derail or high jack the topic. I would prefer a jersey to t-shirt, but will wear what the team desires. This is not my project, I know 15 minutes worth of browsing research about buying a team jersey, and I don't want to step on any toes. Maybe if we could get a real price and picture comparison up it would help? If one of the main points to having the team was to advertise the site, maybe Brian would be interested in selling these through another vendor like cafepress if possible too?

    I have not looked too hard into the specifics, but what about getting real jerseys? It's not that much more, but they look and feel right. Examples: Exhibit A Exhibit B The prevailing rate seems to be about $24 without lettering. Pricing the lettering was too difficult to do during lunch. Could we get a sponsor's patch to pickup some of the extra cost?

    I've grown tired of my cable bill fluctuating every month with a general trend toward the moon. It appears satellite could save me a few bucks while adding and an HD DVR. Currently, I've got two HD TVs and a HTPC that only can record in SD with an xbox 360 as an extender. I bring this up here because the main reason I bother with extra services like cable is to watch the Brewers. I remember reading some grumbling about games not being shown properly on satellite and I would like to avoid those kind of problems if I make the switch. So which satilite service do you guys prefer and which is better for the Brewers?

    The Department of Corrections will take your old stuff, but they charge $10 for CRT monitors. They send it to a prison and teach inmates how to fix it up and then sell/give it to the poor.     My advice is always bad, but I offer it anyway. I've had mixed results with various hard drive recovery scenarios over the years. The freezer trick has worked in some situations, but mostly those were spinning platter drive reading issues. (thump thump thump) My favorite was time I copied the last bits of data off of a drive seconds before it spun its last rotation. Depending upon how desperate you are, (if I am reading correctly that the drives are spinning normally, but just not being recognized) you may be able to swap the controller board with an exact duplicate. If you send one in for replacement and get an identical drive, simply swapping out the green board on the bottom of the drive may be all you need to do. This has worked for me on two occasions. You normally just need to remove a few screws (probably torx) and pop the identical replacement in and screw it back on. You might want to use a USB drive enclosure to copy the files to avoid the possibility of other hardware issues with your computer killing the drive again.

    My family and I have been sitting in 217 the last few years and it's great. No problems with the sloppers and a great view. I agree with the other posters, Bill is a great usher. On hot days if you sit in the back rows of the section, the AC from the pressbox provides a nice cool breeze.

    I don't normally start a game thread, but I wanted to give advanced warning of my impending stint on the DL and my absence for this week. I messed my heel up running the bases last week and I've been limping around in pain all week. I'm normally annoying... injured I'm just a whinny snot. Good luck gentlemen.
