    Got the 'ole DVD fixed and got a little caught up with things I had been missing. Rented both Battle Royale films and watched 'em through. Disapointed a bit, since I thought Series 7 did a better job of making the same point, but Royale was far more cinematic (then again Series 7 was supposed to look like a TV show) The second film was just a sad waste. why when something makes money, do you have to make a sequel? Interested in what you Rami desiples thought of the films since the comic violence isn't really my bag and here I think it devalues the message that's being attempted. Also rented the first two seasons of The Office, and have to wonder again why the British are having all the good ideas for TV and we keep getting watered down retreads of their shows. The american version debuts this fall!! Get excited!!

    You know, I don't want Sowers. I get a real "Kyle Peterson" feeling from him. No actual evidence or anything to support this, but I would take Adenhart over him at 5.

    By the way, this is the first Brewer / Expo trade since the Crew acquired OF Alex Diaz for infielder George Canale on October 16, 1991 George Canale, now there was a handsome guy. http://www.ballcardz.com/images/canaleg.jpg We need more like him for Miller Light "Laydeez Nights" I'm trying to do all I can to boost attendance.

    Yeah, I see Fields as one of Oakland's sandwich picks, but I think Detroit will look twice at every bat they can. I'm sure Dombrowski won't reach, but I'm also sure he will have looked at every possibility.

    I'm hearing that Matt Bush can be lured away from San Diego State easily. With so many good pitchers available, i think one of the top 5 will go hitter and look to see what's left in the 2nd round

    Yeah, with ONLY Hardy being moved up that really makes you wonder doesn't it. Looks like JJ's got a chance in the Spring.

    I must say that I am very impressed with the people the Brewers are bringing into the organization I'll agree with that. This crop is a lot better than dragging Kevin Brown (the catcher) around again. Cruz aside, all these guys a least have a chance at filling out a Major League roster if need be and are still relatively young, which is Rushford's main problem.

    Losing your first round pick to sign a free agent is a dealbuster to me, unless you're talking about an ARod I would like to point out that the Mariners didn't get Texas' draft pick for signing ARod since it was a top 5, so the M's only got a supplemental round pick. The Rangers took Texieira. The M's even lost their own 1st round pick to the Yankees for Jeff Nelson. They took John Ford Griffin The M's got Michael Garciaparra. Screwed every which way.

    We could have a spare starter to trade to some team for help elsewhere. What??? What color is the sky where you live? Sorry, but you caught me with that one Clancy. Tampa wouldn't want our pitching. The Columbus Clippers wouldn't want our pitching. The team ERA is 4.91!!

    Don't know about the rest of you, but that gets my vote as post of the year And I woulod go with this from huntsvillefan report at the playoff loss . . . Oh yes - Mike Kremblas started a bench clearing, pimp slapping contest at the end of the game. Maybe that'll get us fired up for tomorrow night. I think I read somewhere that Huntsville is famous for their pimps!!

    We get some good players, we could kick some butt next year. I believe the Tigers could say the same thing. Would probably be better to have good players. And play the Reds all year. Does that update say Sexson tripled?
