    I know the Brewers have said they want to be consistantly in the hunt for the playoffs, but after 2012, Marcum and Greinke will likely be gone, we will lose Fielder this year...we need help already at 3rd, SS, 1B, and CF. If the Crew doesn't win the World Series in 2012, would the Brewers trade everyone BUT Braun for youth and rebuild much like the Marlins have done several times in their history? I'm not advocating this strategy, I'm just wondering if that's going to have to happen.

    Someone needs to tell the Brewers that every inning is the bottom of the Ninth!!

    To me, it seems pretty simple. He gets too fine, which was mentioned previously here. He doesn't pitch nearly as well from the stretch, which might be the biggest problem. After someone gets on, whether it's an error, or a hit or walk, Yo simply doesn't seem to pitch as well from the stretch. I'd love to see his stats from the windup vs. the stretch.

    I am going to the game Friday against the Astros. I can't wait to give Braun a HUGE standing O during his entire first at-bat. I ask all Brewer fans to do the same!!!!

    I don't have a lot of faith in Macha, but my main concern is this organizations ability to draft and develop pitching. Hitting hasn't been the problem. No matter who has run this organization, whether it be Dean Taylor, Doug Melvin, or on some levels Jack Z, they have not developed or drafted very good pitching. Sal Bando did a better job of drafting pitching, and he was TERRIBLE. I have loved watching Weeks, Fielder, Braun, Hart, Hardy and others develop and advance through the minor leagues. But as I look now, where is the next wave of great pitching? Zach Braddoch? Eric Arnett? Jake Odorozzi? Have you seen their ERA's, or their teams records? Not good. We are looking at 3-4 years of poor pitching prospects for this organization. The only way to move forward is to start by trading Prince. I don't want to do it, but would you rather lose games 7-6, or win games 2-1? I remember that feeling when CC Sabathia was on the mound, that the Brewers had no chance of losing that day. Imagine having a rotation that gave you that feeling 3 times a week? wouldn't you rather have Lyle Overbay at first, and Roy Halladay pitching, or Prince at first and Doug Davis pitching? Those are the type's of questions that we as fans need to ask ourselves, and the Brewers organization needs to answer in the coming months. Pay Braun the $200 Million on the offensive side, and trade Prince for young pitching with big upside. That is this franchises only hope. Firing Macha won't really do anything.

    An incredible stat from an article on SI.com. the Brewers are 5-24...let me repeat....5-24...when the Brewers don't score 8 runs! They need 8 runs to have a chance to win. Otherwise, they are 5-24! Does anyone else find that stat horrific? that is historically awful, isn't it?

    This is interesting, because I don't see the Twins being able to sign any more guys after that big of a contract. I am happy that he won't be going to Boston, NY, LA...staying home in Minnesota. I hate all things Minnesota, but for some reason, I have been a Twins fan most of my life. I even got to go to Game 2 of the 1991 World Series. I'm glad to see Mauer stay where he belongs, and I hope this means we have an outside chance of keeping Fielder.

    So, Stephen Strassburg would be a Yankee...yeah, that makes a hell of a lot of sense. You could kiss the sport goodbye. I think the way to fix the draft is to be able to trade draft picks.

    I need to ask you guys who are very knowledgable about the Brewers minor league system...how are the T-rats going to be this year? Any stars on the roster to start out this season? I live in Appleton, and love to go to games, but since this is only my second year actually caring who is on the rattlers roster, who will be the couple of guys to watch this year??

    Yeah, and I read that the Brewers were trading Bill Hall to the Yankees for A-Rod, and the Yankees were sending cash. If Melvin did the Washburn/clement deal, and gave up Gamel, Parra...he'd be run out of town.

    I love Jack Z, and was sorry to see him go. But, he absolutely left the cupboard bare when it came to pitching. There are no good, young pitchers on our horizon, which really worries me. That means to get one, we have to hope this years draft will provide some, or we have to trade some of our offensive studs to get one or two. Fielder, Hart, Hardy, Cameron...all may have to go just because of our inablitily to draft and develop pitchers. I think that will be the singular reason that the Brewers will not make it over the top, and get farther in the playoffs anytime soon. In fact, I wouldn't be suprised if this is it for this current crop of Brewers. What do all of you think? Talk me down. How do we get to the point where we can develop and draft pitching? Is there a chance that the next 2 years will bring the Brewers any closer to some sort of championship??

    Check this out! Pretty impressive. Might be worth sucking in 2010 to get a shot at this kid. Bryce Harper is a sophomore in Las Vegas High School that looks Major League ready right now.

    This was totally expected, but I had my hopes raised yesterday as rumors spread that CC turned down the Yankees. This just shows what is wrong with baseball. I'll always root for CC, but I will always root against the Yankees.

    I had a dream last night that I couldn't see the game. I ran into Doug Melvin at a bar, and I asked him how the day went. He smiled, said the Brewers won and the Mets lost. That's why he was out at the bars, ready to celebrate. I'll take that as a psychic dream. Brewers win, Met lose, welcome to October Brewers!!!

    Melvin, and the whole front office are here in Appleton tomorrow for a news conference. I am going to get my season tickets now.See future stars gives me more reason to go to the games. Who cares about the mariners future studs? The Brewers are making a wise move! Now, hire Jim Gantner as their manager!!
