I am seriously questioning the logic behind Ned's bullpen decisions. He brings in Bennett who has struggled lately and boom, home run. He brought in Kinney vs the Reds last Sunday and he gave up runs. What's wrong with Matt Wise or Dave Burba? Adams should have the 7th Vizzy the 8th Kolb the 9th
Last I knew it was Sheets, but I don't know if he's feeling well enough. Unfortunately, I'm in the dark too.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif
Those sites are wrong. There have been no player moves yet this week involving either Gemoll or Stewart. Not saying that it won't happen, but as of right now, it hasn't.
Can someone explain to me how they determine whether or not there is a DH in AAA games? I thought it was determined by where the game was played, NL affiliates the pitchers hit, AL affiliates there is a DH. Obviously by looking at last night's Indy boxscore and seeing Brandon Gemoll as DH, this isn't the case. Does anyone know how they determine if there is a DH or not?
All players who were on the Brewers DSL and VSL rosters are now officially on either the Helena roster or the Arizona roster. Some have been released, but the rest of them are in extended spring training.
OR the Brewers are cheap and decided to put him on the DL in High Desert instead of in Huntsville to save themselves from paying him AA salary while he's on the DL.
D Honks-- I think there are certain salary restrictions for players on the 40 man. A player who's in at least his 3rd year, if not 4th year on the 40 man is going to be making quite a bit of money. Not to mention that his MLB service time is going to drive it up even higher. 30k may have been a bit overestimating, but 20k a month could be a better guess
My Magic 8 ball says that these players are no longer with the organization: Chad Petty Calvin Carpenter Justin Gordon Scott Wiggins Phil Hendrix There may be more, but all I get now is, reply hazy ask again later.
What? Neugebauer is still on the 40 man roster, with ML service time. He'll still be making $30,000-$40,000 a month pitching in the minors. If the Brewers were really sick of paying him, they'd release him
After originally turning down a minor league deal, Jose Silva has changed his mind and inked a 1 year AAA contract. So add yet another arm to the heap of pitchers already on the AAA roster
