  1. Is there a way to view only threads with new posts since the last visit? I thought there was, but I failed to find anything. Perhaps I am remembering EZBoard.
  2. While no one may have taken Rogers, I presume it was a money issue. The Brewers may be saying "Hey, we dropped over 2 mil on this guy. We don't want to lose him for $50K." Because they didn't need the 40 man spot for anyone else, it' more of a 'protect your investment' deal, in my mind.
  3. I voted today. 2.5 hr wait. First time I ever had to wait and I've only missed 2 elections (both Spring primaries, I believe) in the last 13 years. I'm voiting early next presidential election for sure.
  4. I'll third the suggestion to get real world experience before going back. My wife got her MBA from UW. Most of the students, but not all, had real world experience coming in. Some didn't. When it came time to interviewing for internships and jobs, those that had real world experience had something substantive to talk about in the interviews and could tell stories from the real world, not just the classroom. Also, from what I saw, those with experienced got the 'better' jobs. By better, I mean the Ibanking (do those jobs even exist anymore?) and the ones that paid substantially more coming out of the gates and had more opportunites for growth. I don't really think it matters what area you work in, either. For example, my wife had a journalism degree and worked in PR before getting her MBA in finannce My $.02
  5. I thought the old site was better organized. The new one looks better. It's still better than the Strib.
  6. Interestingly enough, the Strib just had an article about the Twins' surplus of OF. It basically states that OF is going to come down to whether they move Cuddyer to 3b or not. If so, they are looking for a 3b or a relief pitcher for their extra OF.
  7. Kenosha St Joe's. http://www.kenoshastjoseph.com/UserFiles/Image/lancer%20pride%20logo%20website.jpg Alums range from... Nicky Van Exel http://fraann.files.wordpress.com/2007/02/nick_van_exel-arton21222-240x2401.jpg to Gus Gnorski http://media.myfoxmilwaukee.com/askgus/images/gusworkbench.jpg Also, Jarvis Brown and former basketball coach Dick Versace.
  8. Buergerville. Great seasonal items - Walla walla sweet onion rings; Fresh berry shakes, etc. To die for.
  9. That injury delay on Gameday scared me. I thought Hart was hurt. Whew.
  10. Whoa, Local H is back? You high fiving...
  11. Rockabye Baby. Link I'm only half kidding.
  12. If it's okay for Boggs, it's okay for me. http://tastybooze.com/2007/04/the-origin-of-boggs/
  13. Or are you just refering to the LaX cases Just the LaX cases. Also, I've reviewed the reports from kids that claim the 'serial killer' was after them, but all turned out to be lame excuses for 'I got too drunk and drove my car/bike/fell into the river being stupid so I made up a serial killer to try to get out of trouble'.
  14. those that are brushing this off as just a bunch of drunk college party boys. Have you read the details that these detective feel make these cases similar? No, but I've read the reports from the detectives that were actually there on the scenes and read the medical examiner's report. I'll take those reports as superior to some report done after the fact and that did not examine the bodies or the crime scenes at the time of the incidents.
  15. I saw the death investigation reports for most of th LaX deaths. There is nothing doing on a serial killer.
  16. Counsell with a power display? You've got to be dryshaving me.
  17. this lineup 1-9 is not forcing pitchers to throw them strikes to get them out... At least they're consistent
  18. C'mon Gabe. Moeller has 3 hits tonight. You have 3 hits ... this year.
  19. From the NY jury instructions, here are the elememts: 1. That defendant damaged tangible property; 2. That the damaged property belonged to another person; 3. That defendant acted intentionally when he/she damaged the property. I don't see them proving #1 very easily. There are some good jury nullification arguments in this case. Here's a link to the NY Penal code at issue. http://ypdcrime.com/penal.law/article145.htm#145.00
  20. They also might have him on felony murder, so if the other charge doesn't fly there might be some hope still for a conviction. That is assuming, of course that MI has a felony murder statute and it was charged or is a lesser included in MI.
  21. From my conversations with someone who know's McKillop's agent, he "has bigger and better things going on than Marquette". Take it for what it's worth.
  22. Does anyone know if it is possible to rent an PS3, Xbox 360, or a Wii? Or even a PS2/Xbox? Any help is aprreciated.
