We both know that was a less than ideal team to have as a foundation for a fantasy keeper league. I wouldn’t want it and if you were being honest with yourself, you probably wouldn’t either. Just expressing what most were probably thinking. Grow up and stop being mock offended. Move on. Now, to get this thread back on track ... Really looking for Robbie Ray and Tommie Pham to repeat and maybe even improve on their crazy seasons last year. Especially Ray, even to the point of unseating Greinke as the team’s ace. I will draft him ahead of Greinke as a matter of fact. Masahiro Tanaka will bounce back and be better than Luis Severino. Otani will surprise as a pitcher but be only an average (at best) hitter. I am sad that my favorite low round sleeper, Drew Smyly, will spend most of this season recovering.

Congratulations on getting somebody to take that team and join your league. That being said, I will pretend that last ignorant comment of “some people do like to work for their success after all” was not aimed towards me. For the record, I am an avid fantasy baseball player and have won many different leagues under many different scoring systems, so I understand how fantasy baseball works

Puke! I would not want any more than like four of those players tops. That team will not compete today, tomorrow or even next year. Why not do a keeper league but re-draft every years to keep things from getting stale and to give everybody an equal chance to draft good players and win?

Has anybody ever went to this event previously or plan on attending this year's event? For those who have attended, what is this event like? Do you have access to all the players there to get autographs and pictures? I am thinking of going and would like to hear from somebody who has already attended, if possible. Thanks.

I was too late when I tried to purchase the tickets in the exclusive section and have been searching for one since. I had an amazing time at my first fantasy camp and accomplished some of my goals to boot. 1. I did not get injured and avoided the training room, which quite honestly, was packed during the end of camp. 2. I got at least one hit everyday except one. A few days I had multiple hits, so my hit average was well over one per day. 3. I chickened out and did not do any head first slides. I was looking for the right chance/opportunity to do so, but it never presented itself. I was not mentioned in any of the Journal Sentinel articles but did talk to Gary D'Amato everyday. In addition, I swung at the first pitch once (just because I could) and also cracked a bat. If anybody is considering doing this, by all means go for it. I was skeptical at first but the week flies by. Lots of great guys and great memories. I look forward to going back in the near future.

I see the T-Rats are using that bizarre bat pose from the Lucroy bobble with the Whiffer bobble too. Sorry, but I have never seen anybody (player or mascot) holding the bat straight out in that particular way. I do like the fact that it is a new pose, but a more realistic one would have been appreciated. Speaking of Whiffer, does anybody know what the story with him is ... why the T-Rats felt they needed another mascot and/or how they came to creating/ripping off the Phillie Phanatic? I have asked several T-Rats employees these same questions, and the answers have varied from "I don't know" to I guess we felt we needed another mascot." I do LOVE the fact that they are doing a Coulter bobble with catching gear on though!

I did not realize he had went anywhere in the first place. In all seriousness, I can also vouch that this person is NOT a schill bidder ... yes, he does have two already and yes, he does have plenty of cash available. Why does he want three? I guess only he really knows the answer to that. I don't think there is anything "fishy" about this though. Some people view bobblehead collecting as a hobby and some view it as a business. There are other people who view it as a mixture of both. All that really matters (for eBay auctions at least) is who has the highest bid at the end. It does not matter his motive or how many he has already. Perhaps this bidder just values this particular bobble more than other people out there. Perhaps not. If so, more power to him to go and win/hoard as many iceman bobbles as he sees fit. Look at it this way - you know who out there has the extras. Did we really need another thread devoted to this topic though? Why couldn't we have just updated and re-used a previous thread where people are complaining about the iceman bobble and the seller?

I am sorry you look so dumb in front of everybody because you relied on bad information from your inside source and ran with it, but acting childish and name-calling is not the answer. It will make people take you less seriously in life. That is all I have to say about that.

These "rumors" have been true a lot more often than not... Really? Like when? Please be specific. It is one thing to suggest that it would be cool if they did a Nyjer Morgan bobble where he is making a "T" sign for the alternate version, (as many of us thought or suggested) but another thing completely to promise an alternate bobble, as you did in an earlier post in this thread ... The word "promise" implies some sort of certainty or high degree of knowledge, enough so to confidently make the claim. This was not the case here. Throwing out wild and unsubstantiated rumors serves no purpose other than stirring the pot and getting people worked up for something that does not even exist. Perhaps your inside source is not as credible or reliable as he/she leads you to believe.

I went to the game with the Abominable Snowman. We went through the Club and Suite Level gate where Bigfoot scanned our tickets. The special version featured Bob Uecker in a grey jersey, was autographed, and had a sound chip built into the base that played some of Uecker's best calls when you pressed the button. I was going to take pictures and post them, but the Loch ness Monster waddled by and ate them (boxes and all) before I had the chance to do so. Nobody has confirmed receiving a variant Uecker bobble from the game. Nobody has posted a variant Uecker bobble for sale on eBay, Craigslist, or anyplace else. Brewers employees have continuously stated there are no variant versions of this bobble. Why does anybody even pay attention to these "rumors" anymore? Seriously people.

What does "they will be given out only at the club level" mean? Is it something they are placing in the suites for suite holders only? Is it something they give you as you walk through the doors on the 3rd level? Where did you find this out?

I am keeping the major league, minor league, and retail bobbles all on one list, as I believe that is the intent of this thread. It is focusing on the bobbles themselves, not necessarily where/how they were distributed or came from. My top 10 list actually contains 12 bobbles, but I believe the demand/interest drops off significantly after these listed. Here is my list ... 1. Kent "Iceman" Meyer 2. Mark Attanasio 3. Bill Hall Track Suit 4. Ryan Braun Talking (with Bob Uecker audio -working condition of course) 5. Bernie Birthday (standing) 6. Bernie Stitch N Pitch 7. Bernie Mac Mr. 3000 (AGP Promo) Honorable mention: Don Money Beloit (manager pose in white uniform) Honorable mention: Appleton Papermakers Wisconsin Timber Rattlers There was a Polish bobble (same version as SGA) that was given away wrapped in a sausage wrapper (with a breadstick too). Although this may have been given to employees, the original intent was to give it away to the "media types" back when businesses had money for this sort of thing. The Brewers also did a Barrel Man giveaway (bobble inside a rocket/fire cracker type cardboard roll tube) and a Corey Hart giveaway (bobble inside a box with orange sunglasses) within this same theme. The Brewers did do a limited numbers of autographed bobbles too for the years previously listed (as a few posts mentioned), but they didn't make the list because too many other people got their "original/normal" bobbles autographed by those players too. True, the 100 variants had the COA, but the signature was the only thing that made them different. I don't like signed bobbleheads, so my interest in those was always minimal. I must admit, though, the John Axford signed bobbles that were given away last season are pretty sweet!

I did not get one, as I was on my way to work already when I heard the announcement (and I work far away from Miller Park). I did, however, wake my wife up and have her go get me one before she went to work, which she begrudgingly did. One of the very few advantages of being married ...

The one thought that occurred to me after reading some of these posts (other than what an interesting topic it has become) is the strong assumption that the Iceman himself is selling this bobble in particular and these bobbles overall. Another scenario to consider: What about if he honestly gave most (or all) of these bobbles away to friends and family, as he was "meant to," and then said friends and family decide to cash in and resell them without his knowledge? Is it still his fault and is he still being "greedy" in this scenario? You can really only directly control an item while it is in your possession. I don't think he has any control or say in what happens to the bobbles once they leave his possession. And if it is friends and family members re-selling them, is that any different than what happens on eBay when a Brewers retro bobble is given away and subsequently re-sold? Just thoughts to ponder.

I am not surprised in the least bit that Ryan Braun cancelled. To be perfectly honest, I was shocked that he was even announced as attending in the first place. If he cancels for Brewers On Deck, a relative "soft toss" in terms of fan interaction and pressure, I wonder how he will handle road games this year in Philadelphia, St. Louis, etc. Yikes. On a related note, can the Brewers update this information already? I saw in Sunday's paper that Alex Gonzalez would be attending, yet his name is not included on the website under the list of attending players. In addition, Aoki will be introduced at his press conference there, yet he is not listed as attending either. Is he going to do it via video teleconference? Or is he going to attend and run away into the back rooms once the cameras are turned off and the press conference is over? Any word on K-Rod attending? I see his name is not on the list, but that means nothing at this point. I would love it if he was there, so much so that I would even wear his game issued Bierbrauers jersey to celebrate the moment. C'mon Brewers, get on top of this situation!

I think this is a pretty awesome idea. I like the existence of a rare version too. That being said, I wouldn't have minded if they handed these out throughout the season rather than just one day. The only thing that troubles me is this type/style of bobblehead (creepy little boy faced ones for lack of a better description), when previously made by TEI, were extremely fragile and very prone to cracks and chipping. Not sure if that is the maker of these particlular bobbleheads, or if their quality control has improved since then, but just stating my previous experiences with them.

I went to this yesterday right after work. What a difference from last year! I was in the food drop-off line at 3:50 PM. By 4:15 PM I was standing in the back of the autograph line. I did not exit the autograph line until a little before 7:00 PM. It seemed like there was approximately 1 hours worth of people in line behind me too. You waited in line outside until you got to the tent, where the players were seated (and where the temperature was at least 30 degrees warmer). I do believe that I would not have waited as long in line if the players had showed up at 3:00 PM, though. The players that were in the tent included Nick Collins, Tramon Williams, Sam Shields, Charlie Peprah, Ryan Grant, Anthony Levine, and Morgan Burnett. I was told that Jordy Nelson, Josh Sitton, and Vic So'oto were there earlier. I cannot confirm that though, just relaying what I heard. Only Nick Collins smiled and shook hands. All the rest of the players seemed irritated, annoyed, and downright hostile. No smiles, just glares and stares. I did not feel welcome or appreciated at all. In addition, some of the organizers (once you reached the inside of the tent) were ehhh ... "difficult" to say the least. I, at various points, felt like I was being herded like cattle, treated like a prisoner at a prison camp uprising, or taking part in the Bataan death march. Difficult, bad attitudes, yelling at you, hostile, etc. There were also lots of volunteers standing around that didn't seem to be doing anything other than inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide. I "get it" ... it is late, it is cold, players are tired, people are tired, Packers are popular, autographs are free, etc. It just didn't feel right, though. The food bank is relying on people to bring money or food donations and fill up their trucks (a good thing). This is something I have done long before I could get Packer autographs in exchange for it. To boost donations, they enlist the help of the Packers. Packers = more attention=more people = more donations. Once again a good thing. However, I got the feeling that the switch was "flipped" the second I dropped off my non-expired food and had to go in line for the autographs. Like they no longer had a need for me, so therefore they could stop being cordial. Not cool at all. I would be very surprised if they kept this event format exactly the same next year. Seems like they couldn't handle the amount of people that showed up this year in a timely manner. Maybe an idea for next year would be to have multiple tents with one or two players in each tent. Who knows. It was so different than last year though, when it wasn't publicized as well and the crowds weren't as large.
