  1. Bernie's Chalet originally came sealed in a clear plastic bag. There was no box, to the best of my recollection. The average price is $40 - $50, but I have seen them occasionally go for $80 + in the past. Not often, just occasionally.
  2. I thought the same thing about the Woodchucks blue uniform Gantner bobbles too until I called the Woodchucks and interrogated the person who had the misfortune of answering the telephone. He (somewhat sheepishly) admitted that they ordered the pinstripe and blue uniform versions together, but were saving the blue uniform ones for a giveaway next year. He stated that "I am not sure how those got out but I am looking into it as soon as I am done talking with you." Ahhh ... the lure of the almighty eBay dollar. I don't think the Brewers will "dupe" us on the Iceman bobblehead, though. First off, they are much too detailed and well made to be mass produced in the quantities they would need for an all fan or even partial fan giveaway. Second, if they did that, they would be be giving away the 2010 beer vendor of the year during the 2012 season. They had a different winner for 2011, but I cannot remember his name. Just seems like too much time would have passed to do this.
  3. Here is a picture of the front and back of the Iceman bobblehead. http://images.yuku.com/image/png/a5826a01596d153762a8af19f74d81fa70c48996_t.jpg http://images.yuku.com/image/png/d5926a51796f250c60c8261a5dfc196b0e6608a7_t.jpg
  4. I have not only seen and heard about it, but I also have one in my collection. I am really fortunate to have been able to add it before word leaked out. Very quality made and cool looking bobblehead. I had heard rumors about it the night before and the night of the game (certain Brewers employees gossiping amongst themselves and such), but did not believe it existed until I actually saw one in person about 2 weeks after the game. I have heard the same thing regarding the number, only 200 made. A much better looking bobblehead than those dreadful Miller Lite Beer Bottle bobbleheads they gave away. As a quick FYI, only about 100 Mark Attanasio bobbleheads were made, so the Iceman bobblehead should be about half as difficult to find.
  5. I think the bobblehead looks really well done, aside from his bat appearing to be disproportionately large when compared to the rest of the bobblehead. Maybe that is just me nit-picking, though. That being said, I do not understand the lack of designation regarding the "home run record" either. I would have expected to see letting on the base or a small plaque announcing this, especially after portraying/hyping it that way in the voting process. All that really matters is I will want one for my collection (and thinking it looks really cool after getting it).
  6. It was a good lineup for today's block party ... and I was very suprised to see Braun there. It was also suprising to see Weeks there too, as he was signing at Waukesha Sportscards earlier in the day. I was watching Zack Greinke sign autographs in his line and noticed that he signed everybody's item with a black sharpie only ... baseballs, photos, etc. I saw him do this for 10 - 15 people before I stopped watching. Did he sign like this the entire time? Bummer if he did ... there were lots of people with blue pens ready and he did not appear to take any of them. Did Braun sweet spot? Finally, I did a post on this already ... but if anybody has an extra Saito ROMLB baseball signed in blue ink on the sweet spot ... contact me.
  7. I was not lucky enough to draw Takashi Saito at today's block party (the only one I really wanted) ... did anybody get one in blue ink on a ROMLB that they would consider selling or trading? Please contact me if this is the case. Thanks.
  8. Does anybody have an extra of these? I would be willing to buy or trade. Please let me know. Thanks.
  9. I have had many great transactions with many members on this site (too many to remember and/or post). However, I have also recently had a not so great transaction others should be aware of. I was supposed to meet OldSchoolSnapper two weekends ago to sell him a Ryan Braun retro bobblehead. We had discussed and agreed upon a time and location. I described my car and left my cell phone number in case he didn't see or couldn't find me. I arrived 15 minutes early to our meeting time and waited until 15 minutes after before leaving. I did not receive a phone call or email from him in the time I was waiting. I also did not receive a phone call or email after my subsequent attempts to contact him, either. Just something everybody should be aware of and keep in mind for any future transactions or dealings with him.
  10. Does anybody have extras of these promotions from earlier this year? I was unable to attend the game and am hoping that somebody has extras they wouldn't mind parting with. I would be willing to trade for or buy. Please contact me if you have these items available. Thanks.
  11. Maybe that person has a really big lawn and needs all 27 of them (sarcasm).
  12. I am looking for the Bernie Brewer sliding bobblehead from the years 2006, 2007, and 2010 (yes - I am aware it is the same bobblehead ... I just like to be thorough in my collection). Please let me know if you have any of these available, I would be willing to buy or trade. Thanks.
  13. That is truly a tragic loss. I was somewhat surprised to see that although the bobblehead was shattered from the waist down, the knitting needles (the most likely part of the bobble to break) were intact. Odd.
  14. Does anybody have an extra one available? I would be willing to trade or buy, but would prefer to try and trade first. Please contact me if you have one available and let me know what you might want for it in terms of cash or trade. Thanks.
  15. If you are a "true" fan and collector you would also have Bucky Jacobsen in that Huntsville row as well ... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/ec21681a645f6a881db793d1ac0984010ff80176.pjpghttp://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/235164146e586686158e461159a02b3813c5f8d9.pjpg
  17. Don Money has never had a Huntsville bobblehead ... but there was a wobbler given away in 2008 (same year as the Weeks and Fielder bobbleheads) that was similar in size and stature to a nesting doll execpt that the wobbler is wider, more compact and not quite as tall. Nothing bobbles on the wobbler.
  18. You received a voucher for the Bob Uecker bobblehead after you got your ticket scanned and walked through the turnstile. You were then to proceed to sections 205 and 218 where the bobbles were being handed out. On the back of the voucher you could write your information to win an autographed Bob Uecker bobblehead. So, rather than having the pile of boxes sitting there and handing them out when you first entered, they made you go to the designated sections where they had the pile of boxes sitting and distributed them to you after you gave them the voucher.
  19. Is anybody going to this? There are a couple of players appearing that I would want items signed by, but I will at Spring Training that weekend and will be unable to attend. Could anybody help me out? I would provide you with the items to get signed and either the autograph tickets or the money for them. I could throw in something extra (bobbles or cash) if need be. I know this is a long shot, but thought that it never hurts to try. PM me if you would be willing or able to help out another bf.net member. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  20. The white jersey Don Money is the 2002 version. The 2004 version of Don Money is in the powder blue uniform. You can tell because the base of the 2004 Don Money is the same as the 2004 Tony Gwynn Jr, when both were made by Destroyer.
  21. Hello, I am looking for the following Milwaukee Bucks Bango bobbleheads ... -2003 (Bango wearing white jersey and holding basketball in right hand) -2004 (Bango wearing purple jersey running and dribbling basketball in right hand) -any other Bango bobblehead other than than 2005, 2006 and 2010 SGA versions I would prefer that it comes with its box, if possible. Please contact me if you have one available. I would be willing to purchase or trade. Thanks.
  22. I ended up in the Hart/Loe/Fisher line and got Cory Hart on a 2010 Home Run Derby gold baseball with "13 hr" inscription, Kameron Loe on a baseball and Brad Fisher on a 5 x 7 card. My helper ended up in the Gallardo/Coffey line and got Yovani on a 2010 All Star baseball and Coffey on a baseball. The Hart and Gallardo baseballs are what I really wanted to get signed ... so I was happy with today.
  23. I am glad at least some people recognized me last night ... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif In all seriousness, the Blue Bunny toss is much harder than it looks. The Brewers employee who selected me to participate even stated that "most people don't win at this, so don't feel bad if you don't." That of course made me want to win even more. And, for whatever reason, I was nervous about it. Why? I have absolutely no idea, but I was. I wasn't that nervous when I filmed with John Gillespie on a "Waters & Woods" segment last year, and I was on camera for almost the entire show. I guess the mere seconds of Miller Park scoreboard coverage, and the pressure, got the best of me ... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif However, I did come pretty close. If I could have done it again I would have thrown the ball just a little bit higher, just a little bit harder and aimed more to the left. I did short arm the throw a little, as so astutely pointed out by a fellow board member. I didn't even realize my whole section could have won ice cream until after the throw, either ... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif So, I would like to publicly apologize to anybody sitting in section 207 who did not win ice cream because of my errant toss. When all is said and done, I am, and will always be, a lefty with control problems. If I would have known ahead of time that the second guy would have thrown like that, though, I would have knocked him out, stolen his baseball and tried again. In all seriousness, I really liked the stitch n pitch bobblehead, but I heard from several people that theirs was broken. The Brewers only ordered enough for the event, so they will have to place another order to replace any broken ones.
  24. I really hope that everybody complains and the Brewers change the policy after this first one too. These events were really my only chance to get player autographs and actually (gasp) meet the player too. I really cannot afford a private signing for somebody like Hoffman and I don't feel like staking out airports, hotels, parking lots, etc. No offense to anybody that does, it just isn't my thing. That being said, how early will people be getting there? To be perfectly honest, I wasn't really even looking to score the "big" players ... the guys I wanted were Randy Wolf, Carlos Gomez, Jim Edmonds, Willie Randolph, Chris Capuano, Dave Bush and Doug Davis. Perhaps if any members find themselves in one of these player's lines (and I am in a line for a player that you wanted), we could try to work something out. I collect ROMLBs autographed on the sweet spot, in blue ink, with the player's number. If interested, please PM me and we can coordinate our forces the day of or the day before the block party. I can even supply you with the baseballs and pens if you wanted. Thanks again.
  25. Does anybody have an extra they would sell or trade? I believe it was a white dog with black ears and one black spot over an eye. I would prefer that the tags are still attached, too. Please let me know. Thanks.
