  1. What are Braun's stats going to look like when he doesn't have Fielder batting after him?
  2. Is it just me, or has Mark Attansio been pretty absent so far this season? Not that he needs to be at a lot of the games or conducting a lot of interviews, it just seems like he hasn't been around as much as in the past. This isn't critical of him at all, I think he is a great owner and has done a great job so far. Obviously, he has a ton of other stuff going, I'm sure. Just wondering if I am crazy or if anyone else has also noticed.
  3. Trenni was at JoCats on Friday night and seemed to be having a great time. While I'm sure she will do great in New York, I think she will sincerely miss Milwaukee.
  4. it all depends on how much mark wants to spend. breaking even every year isn't necessarily mandatory to make profit on this team. think of it like real estate. all good investors look at what they will be able to sell that investment for at a given point in the future. there is no question that the value of the brewers has gone up over the past four years. if mark were to decide to sell the team, that's where he would make significant returns. losing a couple million a year isn't always a bad thing if the value of your franchise is increasing at a greater rate.
  5. this also factors into attendance and ticket revenue. maybe not this year because so many games have sold out, no matter who they are against. but in past years, the cubs games were some of the few that did sell out, and not having an equal number of home games against the cubs probably cost us ticket sales.
  6. which bar was that? just curious.
  7. Not that this is a great comparison, but I broke my pinky in my little league days and was still able to play with a small cast that fit into my glove. it was my right hand (i'm left-handed), so when i batted i was able to just keep my pinky out straight and off the bat. now i doubt that Lee would do this, but it is possible that he could still play.
  8. She writes blogs from time to time on OnMilwaukee.com and seems to love living in Milwaukee.
  9. i can't believe most of you are just conceding the division with two months left to play. as july showed us, anything can happen. the cubs won't be hot for the rest of the season. we will have a chance to close the gap. we are five games back, with 6 to play against the cubs.
  10. where is everybody? did that many people really lose interest after the cubs series? c'mon! two months left, 4 games back.
  11. undertow, you should continue to get beers for the rest of the game. go with what's working.
  12. yeah the brewers are in trouble all right. bringing the go-ahead run to the plate in the bottom of the 9th against one of the best teams in baseball on the opening of their new stadium after they were swept on the road. geez, talk about jumping on and off the bandwagon quickly.
  13. it would be nice to have davis bat once more and then be able to pinch-hit for him in the 6th, if not the 5th.
