I've always thought people boo because they consider the pitcher "afraid" to pitch to the batter or afraid of the runner stealing, and thus keep making pickoff attempts. Never fully understood it though. I consider a pitcher that makes multiple pickoff attempts to be really out of rhythm and thus the hitting team at advantage anyway...
I say next time the Cubs are in Milwaukee someone makes a big cardboard cut out of the cover of the unwritten rule book and have the doorman offer it up to Quade after they exchange lineups.
Like the Move. I would love to see Melvin publicly offer Fielder a big deal, as big as Melvin thinks is reasonable, and if he takes it, great. If he doesn't take it, start working on trades.
How does Davis = Davis and Hawkins = Hawkins? When comparing last season and this season wouldn't you have to put in their counter part from last season? So it would be Parra or Suppan compared to Davis and probably Difelice compared to Hawkins. And how do you have Gomez Its clear to me that the pitching staff is much more stable this season. Both the rotation and the bullpen.
