  1. I don't think Jeffries will be hitting the majors that soon. Maybe 2011 or 2012 rotation. I do like the first four pitchers, though.
  2. Even if Maddux is just slightly better than Bush, having him on the team would be like having an extra pitching coach. He'd be a great teacher for guys like Parra and Yo, plus his composure down the stretch would be huge. I also agree with davego that moving Bush to the bullpen would be an upgrade as well. Gwynn + a low level prospect or two would be a good deal for Maddux. Get it done Doug!

  5. Kapler to AAA over Dillon? Really? Even if Cameron is perfectly healthy, Kapler is much more valuable, and productive, than Dillon. I just hope Gagne trips on his way off the plane and has to go back on the DL. This way no one gets sent down.
  6. Awe man, and here I was thinking I had the most original login name........j/k. Hey, at least you were respectfull enough to capitalize Yount. My favorite player of all time and I treat his name like dirt.
  7. If the Cubs make a serious run at Sabathia, I wonder if the Crew would be willing to get into a bidding war and try to steal him away. If they are within striking distance of first place, I could see Attanasio giving Melvin the green light to try and pull this one off. With the possibility of trading Felder in the off season, that would free up at least $10 million to put towards re-signing Sheets and/or Sabathia if they aquire him. It would make for one nasty rotation with Yo, Parra and Suppan for the next few years, and I would think LaPorta or Gamel would be a nice fit a first base (assuming both are not involved in a trade).
  8. I haven't seen this posted anywhere so here's the link. Interesting stuff. http://www.nypost.com/seven/06152008/sports/yankees/yankees_monitor_c_c__sweepstakes_115507.htm
