  1. I'm hoping on the Gomez too! The base looks like a typical full size , but we'll see. And these are SO much nicer since they're AGP...Brewers use BD&A.
  2. Interesting! Nice that it's accurate...
  3. Turbo, what's with Hendersons pants?
  4. Gypsy...good description, especially considering they're working off a 10% profit margin.
  5. Nothing's stopping them. But I don't see at $120 resale on eBay that there is much profit after tax on an $80 bobble plus eBay fees... The last two sausage bobbles only sold out after two-three weeks in the store. Mind you they're new and people didn't know much about them. But this time they sold out in one day, and for multiple reasons IMO. Bernie is always popular...put him on a "Harley" and you've opened up a whole new demographic of buyers who don't care about the rest of the series, and release them on Father's Day when their souvenir sales are likely pretty high anyways...a lot of buyers that day. I think I agree, we may see a similar hype with Hank, considering he's so popular for some odd reason. Unfortunately I missed out on Father's Day as I am on vacation. Oh well...I feel this one may have a higher resale in the future as I'm convinced most were bought by non-bobble collectors...
  6. Yeah I guess I agree, it's become too much to collect. I guess I don't have an appreciation of a lack of room for my collection as it's all boxed up in storage. I just find it frustrating that now in order for me to buy or trade for upcoming bobbles I'm mostly left with "let me see what they're worth" or with one-sided offers when years ago I could simply buy a ticket, give a couple extra bucks, and pay for shipping to get bobbles from outside my home turf. I've stopped shipping retails and SGAs (I'm the guy who used to fill collections on the other board, like the Bernie SNP, years ago for $5 over cost. The favor was rarely returned and nowadays unheard of...) IMO if you want profit go to eBay or Craigslist. That mentality, unfortunately, has spilled over to these boards. BTW this is a general comment, and by no means meant for this particular thread or posters. It's off subject I guess.
  7. Yeah I agree. I've grown up with these, still collect, but the boards have become a place for bragging, muse, and to see what everyone has for "sale or trade" even though I feel very few transactions actually occur over the boards anymore. The days of helping fellow collectors is gone as the urge for profit in this over saturated market have driven this away. It truly is sad...
  8. I think they'll hit $50 for a short time and then go back up, especially since hoarders like myself will drive the price back up as I buy all I can once they get below $50...
  9. And today Lucroy made it in the lineup...apparently got a single! It's so hard to see my son play with these, but it's the right thing to do... http://i330.photobucket.com/albums/l429/snoopeclipse/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps4d7489f0.jpg
  10. My son spun a prize wheel at the Trats game today...got a Lucroy for $1!
  11. I've seen some gates run out, so they have vouchers available. I've received a voucher in the past just to see them handing them out at another gate. Not sure if that's the case today.
  12. Well like I said before, with every Tom, Dick, and Harry trying to profit off of bobbles with "limited" and "exclusives" and selling new Forevers for 50% more than their worth (i.e. everyone on Craigslist...$35 for a "springy base" Bernie? Come on!) why wouldn't the Brewers get in on the gouging. Even their Knuckleheads, which are poorly produced IMO, are $30...used to be $20. This set will break the bank for sure...
  13. Ohhhh, well that is a generous offer from you, but the second is for my son. Sorry!
  14. Just bought two at $25 each. Not bad
  15. You'd be surprised. One of these entrepreneurs recently was buying standing Bernie's for $125, damn near if not succeeding it's market value IMO.
  16. There are WAY too many "big time" sellers around here the past year (on Craigslist, spilling over to eBay) and I know some of these guys have no interest in bobbles. I fear that guy is one of them. It's bad for the hobby (one tries to list for 2-3x the going rate, then the other, and then all and a new standard is set.). Frankly it's getting ridiculous, and honestly the markup leaves little room for profit. In any event, going forward, we need to use this community to make sure we all get our bobbles without getting screwed.
  17. Thanks, much appreciated!
  18. Sweet set! Mixing up the jerseys as well.
  19. Will if you grab an extra let me know. Thanks!
  20. Anybody in Arizona going to this Thursdays game? Looks like a Braun bobble, not sure if it was last years (Miller Park SGA I suspect) or the Spring Training mini...if so I'll be interested in one. I can buy ticket + shipping + extra for your time, let me know.
  21. Very true. The Hank wear that came out IMO serves a good cause, and the mainstream use of his celebrity will drive kids to the Brewers in general. If the Brewers do a bobble I'll get it, but maybe it should be a giveaway for kids. Haven't had one of those in a while.
  22. Yes, a "huge outcry" for a ninth bobblehead date!?!? People love dogs too much...
  23. Yeah that's true. But I'd rather have a semi-mini AGP than a full size BD&A...just better quality.
  24. Yeah I guess you're right. Duh. Was just looking at the Mariners patch on Hernandez's right arm thinking it was different. Maybe they'll throw in a maroon jersey version of one of them.
  25. Do you think some will have era uniforms?
