  1. The giants are a contender that are most likely looking for some protection for sandoval as well as a big bat to give them more run production for their great starters. They also have a piece like bumgarner that would look great in our rotation later this year or to start the next. The Giants seem like a logical place to ship prince to at the deadline.
  2. As a fan of the Brewers affiliates and a worker at the Timber Rattlers, I have seen Daniel Meadows numbers become increasingly more impressive this season. I am wondering, is it his stuff, or some other factors that are contributing to his success? Also what will be his role going forward, starter or bullpen? Is he for real or will he be knocked back down to earth later this season? thank you
  3. rogers-seems to have a high ceiling and a huge future if he can keep off of the DL brewer-tons of potential, future star/trade bait if he can learn to hit. Komatsu-i just love this guy. Cain-seems to be the cf of the future, nice to seem him succeed Lawrie
  4. Braun has so much athletic talent, it's hard to imagine him struggling too much in any outfield position. He is already starting to make highlight reel plays, and the more repetitions he gets in left field will only make him better on routes to the ball and such. When i was younger i remember watching soriano being flashy and athletic like Braun now, but i believe Braun has the much much much much much higher ceiling.
  5. i guess i don't have a whole lot of time to read this thread but from what i've deciphered it sounds like a platoon is all but confirmed from the big man himself. macha that is. i'm sure this has been brought up in other threads if not this one, but any chance escobar could see some time at second later on in the year depending on hurricane's performances and escobar's development?
  6. I personally feel as though Mat Gamel can do more to hurt this team than help it. That being said, i know he brings a good lefty bat thats about as major league ready as is going to be. It would be fun to have another prospect come up and make the same offensive impact that Brauny did in 07. I just feel as though right now, as much as i hate to say this, we really don't need him. The team is coming into its own, and I think any disruptions could be detrimental to the team. It can't be good to have a guy that can't perform in the field go out there and take a spot from a proven starter. So for now, the only logical place I see Gamel is staying down at AAA, and hopefully taking infield till he goes insane.
  7. i would be so down with komatsu in a power uni it would make my season
  8. i don't exactly agree with the draft the best player available in brents case, because he is so toolsy, its really up to him developing, and we'd be praising jack z if he was doing better. He's a young guy, and he's got a lot of time to develop. (he's also been hitting the ball quite well lately) I still enjoy watching him, because as its been said, its either star or bust, and he's been a mystery so far.
  9. john locke from lost, man i'd go gay for in the new millenium.
  10. nba basketball is as exciting as an apple core in your trunk. i'd say what the bucks need to do is to find mike wilkinson, and sign him, wherever he is. then, sign brian butch. add bogut, and you got three tall white guys in the middle, thats a gimmick if i've ever seen one.
  11. dead squirrel in my attic, worst part was it lasted about 3 months, because we could never figure it out, and it would come down in the vents. horrible.
  12. my name is in dedication of the sweetest name in the brewers minor league system, and maybe in baseball. Zelous Wheeler.
  13. i hope to god this is rickie weeks repeating his last 2 months of last year, because those were some of the best months by a hitter i've ever seen.
  14. i feel like everytime i look to see who the opposing pitcher is, and i see bronson arroyo or jorge campillo or any scrub pitcher for that matter thats stats would be 5 times worse if he had never faced the brewers, i feel as though we have no chance. i know the stats are out there to disprove it, but its frustrating that i can't even feel like we have a good chance of winning when jorge campillo and ben sheets are facing off.
