  1. I'm not so sure about Prince's new follow through. It doesn't look at all smooth.
  2. "Narveson gets the all star Infante to ground into a double play." - BA
  3. He's a wily, gritty, veteran, leader, team player, clubhouse guy, mentor, gold glover.
  4. Bikeage - PM sent
  5. Nice defense. Hang with em Lo. He stands really far from the plate. Think that will change after he gets more comfortable in the bigs?
  6. Why was Fischer sending GoGo? I know he's fast, but he would have been dead at home.
  7. The Brewers don't need a 5th outfielder. Hart and Braun play every day and Gomez/Diego are in a CF platoon. Why bring Cain up to rot on the bench? We don't need a 3 man platoon in CF.
  8. Could Bush + a prospect like Green, Gindl, or Schafer net us an Odorizzi type pitching prospect?
  9. This move makes absolutely no sense. There must be another move on the horizon. Gomez to AAA, or a Hart/Diego trade.
  10. Per TH http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/98611119.html Cain coming back up By Tom Haudricourt of the Journal Sentinel July 16, 2010 11:36 a.m. I just learned that the Brewers have recalled centerfielder Lorenzo Cain from Class AAA Nashville. This time, apparently, they're going to activate him. Cain was summoned a week before the all-star break when right-hander Yovani Gallardo was headed to the DL with an oblique strain. But, instead of activating Cain, the Brewers brought lefty Doug Davis off the DL and Cain was returned to Nashville without being activated. Cain began the year at Class AA Huntsville, where he was batting .324 before moving up to Nashville. He was off to a great start in Nashville, batting .341 in 10 games with three doubles, a triple, four RBI and four stolen bases. I don't know what corresponding player move the Brewers are going to make. They could send out a pitcher and go to a 12-man staff. This apparently shows they are not prepared to give centerfielder Carlos Gomez much more playing time after he batted .229 before the break with a .282 on-base percentage. As soon as we get the corresponding move, we will post it.
  11. Baldkin - I recently had to have my brakes replaced. To make a long story short, I took my vehicle to a dealership and 2 different shops and they all said different parts (rotors, pads, drums) needed to be replaced. Because two of the places were obviously lying I decided to fix the brakes myself even though I know very little about cars. After doing a little bit of poking around online I found step by step instructions for replacing my brakes. It was really easy, and I ended up saving $700 and own a few tools now.
  12. What is the trade value of Dave Bush? I think he would be an excellent 4/5 guy for a club making a playoff run. Per Joepepsi "9 appearances, 8 starts. Averaging better than 6 ip per start. 7/8 in quality starts-(the other start: 6ip, 4ER). 97 pitches per start. In all, 50ip, 2:1 K:BB, 3.06ERA, .262 BAA, .318 oba, .424 slg. BAbip: .283." Per Ennder "He had a 4.96 xFIP in June and has a 4.51 xFIP in July so it is pretty much just random fluctuation."
  13. Todd Coffey sans facial hair looks a lot like a young Chris Farley.
