    We were told at work today that our force would be reduced by 7. There are 19 of us. I got hired just this past September. Is McDonald's hiring?

    The only thing I have to do before the season starts is watch Field of Dreams. I almost couldn't do it this year (my dad died in February) but I got it done. Barely. And then for the home opener, because I only get the 2 tickets with my season plan, I find a friend who can go and grill out brats, drink copious amounts of alcohol, and make sure I have my seeds with me when I head in for the game. I keep it simple, I guess.

    When they said "left field" I kind of did a double take, but they repeated themselves, and they couldn't be THAT wrong, could they? Anyway, game is over, 8-6 final for all of you who are waiting on the tortuously slow box score to update.
