  1. Realistically, a Sean Marshall type is what the Brewers are going to get. Next year will be Hardy's last before he becomes a free agent, what GM is going to give up a quality pitcher for a guy in the last year of his contract and coming off a year where he was ranked in the bottom of most offensive categories among shortstop's.
  2. I swear that Kendall has some sort of incriminating eveidence against the brewer org, that can be the only explanation why he continues to play. Melvin, Yost, Sveum and Macha all refuse to sit him down no matter his production.
  3. I don't see the Cubs & Brewers making any trades unless its for unused backups. I'm sure DM would take anything from the Cubs for Bill Hall.
  4. Before this season, we heard names such as Matt Cain, Zach Grienke as possibilities for Hardy. Now, we are probably going to get a Jonathan Sanchez/Manny Parra type. A pitcher with 'great stuff', who hasn't put it together yet.
  5. I believe it was for Clay Buchholz and the Brewers were going to send out Escobar or Gamel to Cleveland. VM to Boston.
  6. Unless Braun grows out of his funk and Hart, Hardy come to life, the addition of Lopez won't solve their problems.
  7. This team has so many holes that a Halladay trade isn't the solution. They need bullpen help, 2 starters and another bat. Giving up the future for 1 player wold be a mistake.
  8. This offseason, look for Boston to go back to Florida like they did with Beckett and offer 3 or 4 top prospects for Hanley. Boston's farm system is loaded with prospects, especially pitching and this plays into Florida's game plan. The Red Sox may trade a mid level prospect for a fill-in this year at SS. I don't see JJ as a fit for Boston.
  9. We gave Mike Burns & Chris Narveson a chance to pitch, what do we have to lose? Not like we are holding potential pitchers back in AAA.
  10. I think you guys are overestimating the worth of Hardy. No way does Boston trade a potential #1 starter for an average/slightly above average ss. I know several Sox fans and none of them were in favor of picking up Hardy, especially for CB. If they liked Hardy, there is no way they would offer CB. Theo is no dummy, he knows good pitching is rare, especially young and cheap pitchers. They were reluctant to include him for Johan Santana, why would they do it for Hardy. Look at Boston and their pickups, they highly value OBP, Hardy doesn't meet that qualification. Add to that his inconsistent play, they can get much better for CB. Boston isn't hundered by payroll, they might go after Tejada or some other proven high priced veteran.
