  1. This statement exactly proves my point. It's pretty simple really, more merchandise = more money. Like it or not, that's what it all boils down to. Actually if you are a female who is new to this sport and go to your first game and learn about the 1982 team and see the uniforms they wore on the field in present day and they are cool and attractive you will buy it for that reason alone. You'd be surprised. The retro is miles better than the other one. Not close. Due to this you couldn't dispute that simply going with the best jersey of all time will attract more people to buy than by having 2 jersey's one which many people simply don't want. Name 1 person who doesn't want to own the retro jersey? Then people must also have the hat. You make it perminant people wont just buy 1 jersey they will buy multiple for all their favorite players. I'm standing by what I said.
  2. I'd rather be known for the one that is the best of all time. The retro.
  3. About half as much as they can make selling two different sets of merchandise with two different logos and color schemes? It's not like there is less ball and glove merchandise just because they don't wear that uni all the time, that logo and color scheme is everywhere, as is the new one. This is why there are two uniforms, and why there will be for a long time. Not really true. Half of the people who own the current jersey non retro will end up purchasing the retro jersey. The new fans it will attract along with winning will increase sales. More people want to purchase the retro than the current, because it's a BETTER jersey. With the Retro jersey people must also have the ball and glove logo cap. I'm going to disagree with you.
  4. Brewers need to go retro every game. Enough of this stupid crap. Do the Brewers know the money they can make should they do this? Best uniforms in baseball of all time.
  5. Considering that Gomez bypassed Boras and signed a 3 year FA extention where he wont get paid anymore than 9 million which is the 3rd year of his contract, which screams he wants to be here and I will take a discount, I'd offer him 7 years at 15-16 million. Based on his past I'd think he's take it and I would do it ASAP. That's 105-112 million total. Brauns contract wont be a burden in my opinion, and he's one of the few I believe that can actually live up to a contract like that.
  6. These are all valid concerns that will drive his cost way down. He's not a number 1 let alone an ace. I put him at a low #2. He doesn't pitch deep into games and has proven he can't over his career and teams will notice that, milliage on him, lower velocity etc.. He's like Kyle Lohse, but not as efficient and smart on the mound with his great control. Kyle Lohse got 11 million a year with Boras as his agent, yes his cost was reduced due to the draft pick and him being older, but gallardo has some equal concerns with him as well.
  7. Actually I could see that getting conversations serious. 12.5 million a year for 4 years is more than Lohse is getting paid. Lohse is a good comparison for Gallardo and IMO better than him. He'll get more than 3 years, though. $50-60 million should do it. Gallardo I think will without question sign a deal like this. He will never get 20 million. Not even close. Maybe closer to 13.5 a year max.
  8. He will sign a team friendly deal. The brewers have the cash. I'm all for it. 3-4 years with an option. 4/50 million with a 5 th year option with 5 million buyout.
  9. You mean Cards and Pirates. isn't the Webb's promotion 12 straight wins? We are at 9 with 3 vs the Cards coming up I thought it was only if the Brewers beat their winning streak record.
  10. Did he run through a stop sign? Are stop signs red or green?
  11. Wow! Only 75 pitches by Lohse, and he just struck out the side?
  12. Henderson not locating his fastball or not pitching smartly. He doesn't hvae a 98 mph fastball anymore to he needs to force batters to swing at outside heat that is down in the zone.
  13. Catching way to much of the plate these last couple batters...
