  1. Boy, after the first two TB games they only score one run? Looks like they could use a big bat next year. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  2. One of the better scenarios I've heard is getting Davis for Hart now and then Trout + for Fielder in the offseason. I don't know much about the Angels system besides Trout and that only because the Brewers were rumored to want him in the draft, but Trout, Lawrie, and Braun would look real nice in our lineup for years to come.
  3. Hopefully DM got the same Tweet. I was thinking we were a little closer to 15%, but zero isn't really surprising.
  4. I don't think anything will get you Garza this season as TB will need him to pitch for a playoff run. Maybe a Fielder trade in the offseason might do it, but then I don't think TB will be as interested due to salary concerns. I'd love to get Davis plus a low A type power arm for Hart, but I'd still prefer Minor from the Braves. Would a Hart/Coffey for Davis/ Colome be out of the question?
  5. Nope. The scoreboard on the Gameday isn't really working either. Just the boxscores.
  6. I believe San Fran also did the deal to get Posey more playing time.
  7. Good to see Hunter Morris sign quickly. Anyone know what affiliate he will start at? BC or Huntsville?
  8. Thanks for the links Baldkin. I appreciate the links. Really interesting.
  9. Really? I would love to see those if someone could put a link up for it. Thanks beforehand!
  10. Well, ok, two slot aside, I think the hitters that around him have something to do with how well he playing this year. I understand that they were there when he sucked also, but I'm guessing his numbers aren't nearly as good if he's playing on the Padres all year.
  11. While the Padres could be a possibility, I don't think they would get the production that Hart is producing now. They don't have anywhere near the protection in the line up of Corey that we do. With him batting number two, he has Braun, Fielder, and McGehee in front him. That gets him a lot of good pitches to hit. Even if Hart stayed hot, I think opposing pitchers would just pitch around him and take their chances with the rest of the lineup.
  12. I'm not sure if Mark and DM are capable of doing this, but instead of blowing cash on an overpriced pitcher next off season, I say we trade for someone (preferrably a youngish arm), like a Brandon Morrow, who will become a FA in the next couple years and keep the payroll down for the coming years. That money could also be used for a stretch run player if we are in it or even to go after some "unsignable" players in the draft. I'm just so frustrated with have $15 mil to spend in the offseason and we spend 10-12 on an old starting pitcher and the rest of it on an old reliever or bench player. I really don't mind a couple losing seasons as long as I see that there is a plan in place.
  13. He did, but I doubt that he is around after this year so I think it would make more sense to put McGehee at 1st and Gamel and 3rd.
  14. I understand the argument that Tampa won't take on Fielder's contract, but I think there is still a possibility due to the fact that they could use Fielder's bat this year and always flip him in the off season and get back something similar to what they had to give up to get him in the first place. Tampa is run very well and while a trade like this doesn't fit with their normal game plan, the fact that they are close to winning it all could definitely alter things.
  15. Good point. I was putting him in right, but the injury was to the LFer.
  16. With defense being so "en vogue" with teams like the Red Sox do you think they would give much up for him?
  17. Anyone else just hear that there is a scout from the Nationals in the stands looking at possible outfielders?
  18. I'm not sure anyone would want a piece of Wolf with another two years attached and give up a top pitching prospect. Wolf will probably be solid next year, but that third year is really rolling the dice. I'd take the deal though if offered
  19. The problem with waiting until the offseason to trade Prince is that management gets this optimistic outlook and thinks we are a $12 million 35 year old pitcher away from the playoffs. I'm afraid that if we don't trade him at the deadline we will have to settle for draft picks. Of course I'd rather keep Prince for picks than trade him away for three AAAA players.
  20. Bloody hell, how does Lilly only have 70 pitches this far into the game? At this rate he can pitch into the 11th...if the BP doesn't blow it on our side. Is this a sign that the team is starting to give up or is Lilly just throwing tempting pitches?
  21. Rafael Neda sounds a lot like Angel due to the fact that he's gym rat. Hope he hits as well as Angel.
  22. Another nice pick by Boston.
  23. Can't be drafted next year.My bad, your right. Either way I hope Pitt doesn't sign him as I think he will be a good one.
