  1. I think Doumit has some sort of contact lenses in our something. It looks like something out of The Lost Boys.
  2. The other thing to consider is the marketing that comes with mid-level players as opposed to that one superstar.
  3. I will be there Friday. Oh, and yes I was one of those chicken littles as you cannot lose Bogut and be the same team. It is remarkable what they have done without one of the premier centers in the league.
  4. No need to boo Soup here. Just be happy that the team you are rooting for put forth a great result.
  5. I would say it's lack of control. It's not like he's thinking about nachos or videogames during only that atbat.
  6. Then there is no real point in going into a discussion about it. Also, as long as they are effective, anyone could be a closer and if you look Riske was effective for a number of years prior to becoming a Brewer.
  7. Out, I got golf league on Wednesdays.
  8. Thanks though last game never made its way to 88 for me.
  9. Is it really smart for a small market team to spend so much money on middle relievers like Riske and Hawkins. One of Melvin's biggest issues is that he spends way too much money on the bullpen. Sure Riske might have pitched ok if he was healthy but we still shouldnt be spending good money on middle relievers. Add that to paying Hoffman 8 mil per season and the absolute waste of 10 million on Gagne and you can see a pattern on overpaying for relievers. To be fair, if Riske works out, I think he is the closer. I always got the sense that he was going to replace Gagne the following year if everything went ok.
  10. Riske was a good signing at the time. I said that then and I still agree with it. He and the Brewers ran into bad luck.
  11. I guess in the end it more than likely didn't matter about the ump's inconsistency. Poor hitting and pitching results in a bad series. Sucks that I watched 7 hours of it.
  12. Wow, Theriot almost thrown out, the ball beat him but eh was safe. And a great curve by Bush for a ball.
  13. Oh come one, this is stupid. Get rid of umps and give me the computer with a red light or green light.
  14. Nice low zone for Wells today. Good for him and the Cubs.
  15. The first two [itches according to Foxtrack to Fukodome were strikes.
  16. I also think Soup can very valuable out of the pen if they use him the right way (2-3 innings at a stretch during lopsided games) as there have been times this year when we burned through 3 relievers in 3 innings as our long guys were going long.
  17. Would rather have Parra but I am still very happy.
  18. The Stand I have read it before but going back in. This is after I bought the graphic novels that are coming out which are fantastic.
  19. DD with good results so far. Also, the dink and dunkers aren't getting him like his previous start. Then again the BA against him couldn't possibly stay that high (knock on wood).
