This was it, that "go for it" year, just like 2008. Look forward to sub-.500 seasons for the next 3 or 4 years most likely until they decide to "go for it" again in 2015. On the bright side, they've sold a lot of tickets for next year already, so when the team is bad, you'll be able to get some very cheap tickets on the secondary marketplace, and all the bandwagon jumpers won't be there, so that'll be nice.

Night game tomorrow then for us. Should bring down ticket prices a little more (and they've already dropped pretty good the last 24 hours) for anyone who wants to go and hasn't bought a ticket yet. -

A few of the passwords for the WS tickets have sold on eBay for over $300 in the last day. Seems crazy, but if you are getting the max 4 tickets, it might be cheaper to buy password & face value tickets vs. paying crazy prices for tix on the secondary market.

Good for the organization. They'll make big $ from game 6 (and possibly 7) as the players don't get any of the gate from those games. Every little bit helps.

Guess my "Cards in 5" prediction wasn't so crazy after all... At least those $200+ Diamond box tickets for games 6 and 7 will be refunded.

FYI, for those who got the "second chance" NLDS ticket e-mail on Friday, they added more tickets for today and tomorrow this morning (probably those they had been holding for any last-minute 2012 season ticket signups). $50 loge bleacher, etc... another (face value) option for anyone still looking for tickets.

Cards in 5. Cards are extremely hot right now and other than a few scattered games the Brewers have been struggling to score runs for weeks now. Brewers win one of the first 2 at home but that's it. I also think TLR's mind games will start to affect them as the losses pile up. Hope they prove me wrong... I also predict Morgan gets plunked, likely in one of his first 2 at-bats...

The people in my row took this thread the wrong way and got up to leave DURING PITCHES pretty much every half inning for the first 7 innings. And I was in the club level so the rows are only 10 across, but the same people, inning after inning, always at the worse possible time (this was before everyone stood for the last few innings).

Just gotta win the first 2. Try to steal one in St. Louis if they can, but at least give themselves a chance to come back home and take the series. Losing to the Cards would be bad, but letting them win the pennant on our home turf would be worse. If they are going to win, I'd rather have them do it in StL.

Exactly. Win it so you never have to wear those awful retro uniforms again because some of the fanbase can't stop living in the past.

Already a couple passwords being sold again on eBay. Wouldn't be surprised if people are entering the lottery just to sell the passwords - one of the sellers is a ticket reseller from CA...
