An unimpressive no-hitter? Is that like Jumbo shrimp? The guy managed to do something only one pitcher in our franchise's history has ever pulled off. His stuff was so electric and had so much late movement that the Rays couldnt make solid contact the entire game. I don't see the point in discounting his achievement

That umpire last night had a pretty small strike zone. Even in the last few innings, he wasnt getting anything borderline

I watch a ton of GS games (I'm sort of in love with Monta Ellis) and Maggette seems to be getting a pretty bad rap compared to what I've seen. Do people realize that a good portion of the time Maggette was on the floor last year, Nelly was making him cover the 4? Their small ball included playing their 6'6" shooting guard/small forward taking guys much bigger than him. As a one on one defender, he's extremely strong for his size and won't get bullied by anyone. I also don't see a lot of the negatives people are seeing with Al Jefferson. Coming off a serious knee injury last year, he never quite got back up to speed, but two years ago, he was one of the most promising young big men in the league. 23 and 11 with almost 2 blocks a game? I almost can't believe the kind of garbage that teams are offering for him that the Wolves are considering. I wish we had something to offer other than Michael Redd's corpse to get in on it. The Wolves are the most inept franchise in the league right now and look to be ripe for the picking

Maggette can be a me first guy to some extent, but im hoping a few random benchings by skiles will keep those in check. What this does give us is a guy who can take his defender one on one and get to the basket. When we lost Bogut, even with Salmons, we became a jump shooting team that could go on loooong stretches without scoring. Maggette gives us an option when the jump shots arent falling. If we can get CDR too, Hammonds has given up very little as far as value and really upgraded our talent level
