  1. It's easy to bash Yost for this lineup, but outside of putting Grieve in there, what is he supposed to do? Branyan's hurt, and no one else outside of Hall is really hitting lately.
  2. That lineup is stunning. But it's not like we scored yesterday. We're either gonna get no-hit or score about 7.
  3. "I know in my heart that this is not me, that this is not the way I normally pitch." -- Brewers starter Wes Obermueller after giving up four runs and lasting just one-plus innings. That's classic. So what IS the way you normally pitch Wes?
  4. I think I shall choose to believe that the game tonight never really happened. la la la la la la la just a dream la la la la la la la la
  5. Oh, you thought WRONG, Shampoo. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Miracle.
  6. Wow. Bases loaded again. No outs. I'd say DFA after game odds just went WAY up. This is ludicrous.
  7. Good think Ben's down at Indy getting regular work.
  8. And it's such a turnaround from the first 2 months of the season where you just KNEW they were going to win somehow, someway.
  9. I have a dream! That one day, we will see equality in this land. That one day, players will be judged on the amount of their talent, and not the content of their character. I have a dream that one day, Ned Yost will awake and realize that Wes Helms is a horrible baseball player. And on that glorious day, we shall join as one and sing: Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, We're free at last! (of Helms).
  10. Your 2004 Milwaukee Brewers: Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. 1000 posts. Woot.
  11. Kinda sad that I just now realized that Grieve's homer means we're WINNING! Cmon Vizdog. edit: come ON Vizdog!!
  12. Yeah, I know. Didn't mean to imply you were defending him, ty. edit: Just noticed it's tYguy. Always just read it as tv. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. I imagine the coaching visit went something like this: Rudy, if you don't strike out the pathetically weak bottom of this batting order, you better find another ride home.
  14. I know he did actually say that tyguy, but it's such a ludicrous statement. It's like he's a caveman holding a rock telling you he bought a brand new computer. edit: referring to the sight of Yost claiming to use stats.
  15. Oooh, Batman also with a strong effort. The suspense is gonna kill me tonight.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. Free Beer and VB (Victoria Bitter, much better than Fosters) on your next trip to Sydney for the closest Neddy quote following this game. Your can choose to predict the quote covering any topic C'mon Hoffy, that's ridiculously easy! Ned on Helms 2-3, 2R,1BB night (thus far): "I knew he'd pull it together sooner or later. He's had to battle through a tough time with the injury, but he's such a hard worker, it was just a matter of time. I'm sure this is the start of a nice hot streak."
  17. Course if Lyle were 3 and Jenks 4, that'da been a 3run homer. I still can't fathom the reasoning.
  18. Grieve sucks. Obviously Yost is a genious for batting him 4th.
  19. And a solid effort by Ben, I retract my "what's up with Sheets" statement. Obviously we just need a new defense. And by defense I mean 3B. and by 3B I mean anyone besides Wes Helms. And by anyone besides Wes Helms I mean even Trent #*&^%$ Durrington.
  20. True, didn't realize he was gonna be up. Thank goodness he was or I bet he'da gone back out there. I mean we have to conserve our pinch hitters right?
  21. I laughed Roco, if that helps.
  22. Considering that the obvious thing would be to take Ben out after this inning, I fearlessly predict that he will face 2 or 3 batters in the 7th. Yost wouldn't have it any other way. Plus he's crusin now, right?
  23. Wow, none of those runs ARE earned are they? Sheets is either gonna shoot himself, his teammates, or demand a trade soon. (there's a crude "Helms joke" for ya: would you take option 2?)
  24. Errors, etc., yada yada yada, but what's up with Sheets?
