  1. http://www.mlbtraderumors...-signing-doug-davis.html I must say I don't understand all these moves. They just signed Ramon Ortiz to. There is no way they can build up their arm strength in time before Wells & Cashner come back. They should have never traded Gorz. Hopefully they are forced to pitch Davis or Ortiz against us during a game or to. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  2. This is a game where i expect Marcum to be great. Assuming it gets played of course. Marcum is finally settling in and this is where I think his passed experience against AL east teams will really help him out. I expect domination
  3. I'll give you that, I don't expect anything really good from anyone. But IMO the difference between Kottaras & Nieves isn't that great and whoever brings back more value is who I would trade
  4. Of the remaining bench players (Almonte, Kottaras, Nieves), I only see Kottaras bringing back that decent middle infielder back in a trade. Nieves is worth nothing and could simply be claimed and it seems like every team has an Almonte already. We have another one named Brandon Boggs in Triple AAA. Kottaras is the only one with value and I pray he isn't dealt because that means we kept Nieves. I wasn't talking about Almonte, I really like him as a bat off the bench. As for Nieves and Kottaras neither is particularly a great option in my mind and will be fine with whatever choice they make. Kottaras has power and can draw a walk but that is about it. If a team wants to deal us a decent middle infielder to play the bench I don't see how you don't pull the trigger
  5. I really hope they keep Almonte once Hart comes back. Almonte is way more valuable as a PH over Nieves being a 3rd catcher. Although if they could find a deal for a decent middle infielder to be a backup here I would pull the trigger in a second
  6. I like the move. Atleast until Hart comes back at which point I would DFA Nieves. I actually don't mind this bench. I have confidence in Almonte to pinch hit. Kotsay is the only one I'm shaky on
  7. guess they elected to keep Kottaras as a power bat off the bench until Hart gets back. Also allows them to prolong the decision on who to keep
  8. Time to go celebrate this lovely Brewers Victory. Talk to you all later. Back to .500!
  9. CASEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. uh Betancourt walks, hits a single, and has been playing good defense?
  11. That was the ugliest/Prettiest play I have seen in a while
  12. Another Hard hit out! how many of those are we going to have today
  13. It should be one of the catchers to go when Lucroy returns... Why when Kottaras' bat is better than Reeds and you can keep Nieves for the defense. Both bring more value than Reed
  14. Seriously we have Almonte Morgan & Mcgehee sitting on the bench and we use reed? The chances of us using all 4 are slim so why would you use your worst?
  15. Wow. scared me there! That has to be it for Yo right?
  16. BRAUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. And with Gallardo in a funk, it's Bizarro Brewers day.And then Prince makes a good defensive play. I don't know what to say
