I hate how managers can take their own players. Like Ron Washington taking Wilson over CC or Bochy taking Lincecum & Cain & Vogelsong. Not that any don't deserve it but it just seems like managers always do this. oh well, I guess that is the reward for taking your team to the series. plus still injuries and stuff to be announced so still a shot for both Marcum and Ax.

Moving a guy into scoring position with less than 2 outs IMO is generally a good move, unless your down a few runs. Sure Prince and Braun are prolific power threats, but they still hit Home runs less than 10% of the time. Where as they get basehits a little more than 30% of the time. To me it sets up to at minimum score 1 and maybe more. -
Im so sick of watching Counsell slowly walk up to the plate with that look like he doesnt even want to be in the majors. He needs to go. He doesnt put any good swings on the ball and pretty much just looks lifeless, like he is just going through the motions. It's getting old quick

Prescient. I love small ball against good pitchers. Ha in the end didnt matter anyway since Casey got the hit and woulda scored Braun most likely anyways ha. anyway they score runs I'm happy with

right now i would probably bring Wolf out for the 8th but I would have one of Hawkins, Loe, or Estrada ready to come in at any sign on struggle. I want this win. lol

I agree but our bullpen hasn't been needed as much this year. So in close games now you can go to your bullpen a little earlier. Besides the whole reason i wanted to bring in Estrada was cause he could possibly take us through the 8th and straight to Axford. Or atleast through the 7th.

Wolf has only given up 2 hits and is at 72 pitches. Would seem a bit premature to take him out. I'll give you that but the way he was lookin in the 5th and the 6th you can tell he is starting to decline. He's had to work himself out of innings the last 2 innings. Granted he's done that but it atleast has to be in the back of your mind.
