  1. Yeah I know we are very critical of sheets but results are what count. If he gives up 3 or less everytime I dont care how ugly it is. Suppan wasnt exactly dominating last night but it worked out.
  2. Sheets gave up two runs in his last start. I hardly think that is a poor performance. I guess anything but a shutout for him is unacceptable.
  3. Peavey you need the help. So I can be a better baseball fan if I blame managers for everything? And especially if I do it after the fact and do it when I know the outcome. That makes sense. You should know that players are the ones who get it done or not. A manager is just not going to take a guy out with a shutout, up 4 runs. So Ned is not to blame here. But the bullpen came through and we won the game. So Ned got another win and the players get credit for getting it done.
  4. Peavey its always so easy in your world. I think you need to get a hug today and find some blame for a player for once.
  5. yes they are peavey? Why do you ask? Why is everyone here glass half empty? If we are losing, we say we wont get the hit and if we are winning, we talk about what will happen to lose? Is Ned walking these guys and giving up hits?
  6. And that is why Coco is in the game now. I think we all want to win the game and were still in control. How are we praying for a win now? There is plenty of work left here to lose this game.
  7. Argo you should fit in great here. Always blaming Yost. Ned was right on the money with this one and all managers would do the same thing.
  8. The guy had a shutout going. He was not going to get taken out after a couple of batters got on.
  9. I will make a call and let it be known how Ned should do it. Let's see if he takes your advice seeing he obviously has learned nothing during his many years of coaching. I doubt the response will be good but I will try. All of our problems are solved. All Ned needed to do is look into his ball and see that Aquino wasnt going to get that out. Its always so easy. And yes you did say you wanted Wise rather than seeing Aquino get shelled. Your words not mine. Or you can just move to another pitcher after someone gives up a hit tonight. Always easy sitting in the chair at home.
  10. Well Yost doesn't have to have his resume ready because he is doing his job well and a bunch of people on a website have nothing to do with his job. The opinions here are not "realistic" and I know this because I know people who do this and have been involved myself for a period of years. All managers have "feelings" for their players and it does play a part. But in this case, Yost did what he is supposed to do and becuase a guy couldn't get an out we lost. Its not his fault and it will work many other times. I would have preferred Wise to pitch to one batter than let Aquino get shelled. Wouldn't we all! Always easy to say after the fact. Wise is not going to pitch everyday. Why can you not understand that? We lost and we will find a guy who can get an out if Aquino cannot.
  11. So Joey are you the know all? I don't spend as much time as you on this website but I am still going to give my opinion. The problem is that most disagree because they are not realistic and get angry any time we lose. That is a fact. Every game we lose has a thread filled with fire yost, send a player down, etc... For this instance I will take what you said. He should have had someone up. This is where I see the "fan" come out and the "realistic" part left behind. Turnbow is our 8th inning guy, and Coco is the closer. Wise is usually our 7th inning guy but had pitched the last two days and we didn't want to use him. He could have but was not prefered. Anyways, the guy chosen was Aquino and his job was to get one out. The only guy that should have been up was turnbow getting ready for the 8th. So Aquino goes into the game and walks one and then we were supposed to pull him? That is not going to happen very often. Then by the third guy we may have been ready to bring someone in but in the big leagues managers tend to let the guy get out of his own mess. A manager has to face his players everyday and there can be some emotions involved in the decision making process. So one guy failed and we lost the game. That's part of it. Tonight Wise will be available. But if Wise gives up a hit, people will still complain the other direction and say that Turnbow or someone else should have been put in. It a no win situation. Yost or someone is going to be blamed. Aquino's job is to get outs later in games. If he can't do his job, he will be gone. DM and Yost just try to put the best possible people in these positions. Yost did what he has mapped out and will do the same thing in a bit. Whether or not it's Aquino or not is up in the air.
  12. BigRedRob, you are fighting an up hill battle here. Yost is always to blame and everyone is a pitching coach. I try to say the same things and I get yelled at so be careful. I agree with you and it was the correct thing to do. However, the brewers lost and someone needs to be blamed I guess. Its 162-0 or someone must go. Bottom line is that we needed one out. We didnt get it and lost the game. Ned did not have multiple backup plans and that wouldn't have cured this. But thanks for being another level headed mind here. We do have weekly jumps off the hoan bridge if you would like to join some of the members here. I think they meet on friday nights.
  13. How much longer can anyone watch Billy Hall fumbling and bumbling allover himself in the outfield while watching the crap fest we have at 3B (also playing poor defense) while a good young hitter in Gross sits on the bench instead of playing in CF? Now I agree with this but the brewers said they made the decision to go with hall in CF and will no be hard headed on this. I wish they would do that as well and play hart and gross more. It may be coming however if things get bad. But after one loss here, they are still over .500 and we may be overreacting a bit. In Counsell's defense, he has been ok during his play at 3b.
  14. Brian I am not telling anybody anything. They disagree about something and are totally off base. Yost put in a guy to get one out and he didnt get the job done. Yelliong at yost is not right at all. I simply pointed it out. If you disagree with me or anyone else does, fine, but you are wrong.
  15. No Peavey you said tonight he cost us. What did he cost us? An 8-5 loss? Oh well. He's going to make mistakes just like Rickie did last year. People will bag on him and then jump back aboard when he does something good. Its what we got so we need to live with it. I try to be a fan and look at things realistically. Some just love, then hate, and then love again. Just cheer for the brewers and take it easy on the blood pressure.
  16. Anyone blaming Yost for the pitching does not follow the team and know who he had left. He was out of options and was trying to get to bow in the 8th. Get off the bridge and blame aquino for not getting an out.
  17. Wee Invader if you have another option, we would love to hear it. We had no one else up and we were trying to get to bow in the 8th, seeing that is our format for our bullpen. Peavey, Halls error has nothing to do with a 5 run inning that cost us the game. Are we looking for beauty points and only losing by 3 runs?
  18. Isn't life great if all of us could live in the world of making decisions after we see the result.
  19. You people paging wise need to follow along with the team. He is NOT available. Pitched a couple days in a row already. We have nobody else right now. Its not on YOST! Aquino had a bad game and now it looks like a loss. Get off the bridge.
  20. peavey I hope you are kidding. This has nothing to do with bill hall.
  21. I guess Ned doesnt like the matchup vs Belisle. I dont know. But arguing for Hart doesnt make sense no matter who you put him up against.
  22. Ned puts the best hitters in the lineup and he is not one of them. In order to "keep"playing well, you have to "play" well first. It hasnt happened yet so he gets days off.
  23. How can ned ever leave that hot hitting hart out of the lineup? I know he is a fan favorite already but lets not act like he broke out yesterday. He had a "throw the bat at it" hit so lets not get worked up here. He is the lowest hitting outfielder we got. Hope for a big brewer win.
  24. We are going to need some amazing pitching out of Bush today, 'cuz I don't have a good feeling out of our bats tonight Wow brewtank, you must have a bad feeling every game if Belisle gets you uneasy. Who makes you feel confident? Old men and rookies just called up. Hope all goes well for us tonight against this force known as Matt Belisle.
  25. This is for that worst lineup theory. Sometimes it doesnt matter. Also doesnt hurt that we arent facing some good pitching.
