  1. Man these are the games that hurt when you lose. These make the difference in the end. We need to finish games with a 3 run lead late.
  2. Between Hall and Koskie, I dont think either of them really has separated but I have seen every game and hall seems to be a better fit. Watching Koskie's at bats live in new york this weekend makes me have more faith in hall. He gets hits but like saturday, it comes late in a game when it doesnt mean much. I like them both but I am one of those people who feels like we are going to lose billy because we keep pushing him down because of either one of the kids or someone we bring in every year. He has been nothing but a good guy and produced whenever put and he will be gone after this year which sucks and its going to bite us in the ***.
  3. Seriously how many multi hit games does billy need to stay in the lineup for more than a day? And extra base hits at that when we dont get many. No one is really cold but I think he needs to be in there more than twice a week.
  4. Im holding on to more than my hat.
  5. We need a win but more importantly we need a start where the starter keeps us in the game so the bats can get going. We were in the Ohka game but he was in trouble all day and Cappy finally gave up the backbreaker. O and some good defense will help as well.
  6. Capellan and Prince, please go sit in the corner and take a timeout.
  7. Maybe we are this good but we are playing those pesky pirates. Vogelsong for President!!
  8. Does anyone else ever get nervous when someone as crappy as the vampire is ptiching? In the past these journeymen always seems to lock us down. Maybe this begins a period of punishing these lower level pitchers and becoming an upper level team.
  9. I have XM and it says both games are on 182 and 185 but I have no games on those stations and cannot find brewers game. Any ideas??
  10. I am going to have to decide which game to listen to. Having XM is truely amazing and what did I ever do without it? Looking at your players in each of the games is very helpful as well.
  11. I just like to read some of the things said during the game and I must say people are way into the pitch count stuff. Baseball "so called" experts have brain washed everyone to think that if a pitcher goes over 100 pitches, his career may be in jeopardy. Maybe there aer still some real pitchers out there that like to throw and improve there stats, etc... Cappy was cruising and wanted to throw. Give it a break. People who actually believe that pitch count stuff can go back to playing hopscotch and jump rope. Remember the days when a guy would throw 130 pitches and come back on a 3 days rest for an entire season? It was a great crew win and people decide to crab about Prince not batting and Cappy throwing just over 100 pitches. Come on people.
  12. Ok so now the point is made for sure. Our pen could have done this. And we could have had a big inning. Someone tell us when the last time we made the right decision and everything worked out. Minus a game where we just out hit someone. It always seems to go against us in close game whether it is managerial decisions or not.
  13. Could not have said it any better. how the hell do you keep him in there to give up an out when we only have 8 left? I love Ned but this is just stupid. They are giving us this game. Not like another reliever can get this AA lineup out. Give me a break Ned.
  14. I hate when Uecker does that. I scream get out of here at work and then get pissed when he says "he didnt get it, caught" these are the games that really get me pissed. last night was just a AAA loss. TLR gave the AA lineup today and we are STILL losing. This is unreal. Just a batting slump at the wrong time. I think TLR wants us in the race seeing he could play us and get a bye into the NLCS.
  15. IF you are actually writing on here you must be a brewer fan, hence the name of the sight and the time to read and post. Why would someone say goodnight and now we are 52-55. What losers. Go jump on the wagon of some first place team. But before you go I want to tell you that they will lose, make errors, and there pitchers will give up runs as well. Man, the IQ and dedication of some people is unreal sometimes.
  16. I couldnt agree more with the criticism of people asking "please dont say wildcard" Why should we not hope for the best. The people who talk like this are not fans, they may like sports but they just jump on a winning or losing bangwagon. We are only 5.5 out this late in the season. Hell if we were any large market, every night on BBTN they would have been talking about us for trades and what needs to be done to make the late season push. Reality is we have the brewers, small town america, and we are going to win someday with a much smaller payroll and because we have management who has to work for what we got. Just imagine for a second if this was the NFL or NBA where teams are much closer in payroll. We would have something like 100 plus million to spend in free agency or trades etc... We are not that far off now but if we even had 50 million to spend we could add some major pieces. We just dont have as much to @#%$ about as we think.
  17. No kidding they count people not there. If they sell season tickets and people dont show up, why wouldnt they count that in the total? Should they not count this money or these people in the total? I dont understand the last couple posts.
  18. Moeller is right behind Helms in the YUCK category. I think they both just swing hard and the pitcher has to hit theie bat. Moeller open your eyes, it really helps.
  19. Helms can only get useless pinch hits when we are winning or losing by a bunch I'd like to see some numbers to prove that, please. Well I am not sure what numbers you want to prove that but I guess maybe people can come up with big hits he gets. I watch every game, and if I miss some I go on mlb.com and watch the rest, like I will today. Helms gets 2 out pinch hits in the 8th inning of a 5-1 loss or games like the 11-7 Cincy win where the game was not that close. Great he is hitting .280 and is a HUGE liability in the field. That is all I got to back it up seeing I have no idea what numbers will prove that he does not provide any worth while hits. My stats are what I see. Numbers can fool you.
  20. Helms can only get useless pinch hits when we are winning or losing by a bunch. Kinda like Jenkins did for quite awhile. Does anyone else see how Helms jsut swings the bat in the same spot and its almost like the pitcher has to hit his bat. He is not even close on most of his swings.
  21. If this game was on tv, Bill and Daron would still be talking about how good Moeller is defensively. And he is just a joke back there. Until this recent batting surge, he was a negative to the team instead of just being a body. That has to be about a dozen crappy passed balls or wild pitches if you will that he has given up. And most are not tough balls. Glad I cant see ti but I can see it happening.
