  1. This might cement Brooks Conrad in as the BU IF since he is a switch hitter and according to the JS he has played some first (1.2 innings) and can be an emergency outfielder as well as emergency catcher. His being a switch hitter might give him the role over Taylor Green. Do we have any potential RH outfielders in camp besides Gomez? Schafer and Gindl are both Lefthanded (like Morgan and Aoki) and wouldn't necessarily fit the bill to spell Hart with a tough lefty on the mound.
  2. I have to agree with a few others here. Losing to St. Louis in the NLCS was tough. But, as many others have said, it was a season to remember. Even though I wasn't around yet in 1982 I have been a Brewer fan for a long time. I have seen this team come from 100 loss seasons to being games within the World Series is huge. Going to the home playoff games is somthing that my wife and I will always remember and always have. It takes nothing away from a great seaons. If the Cardinals are as classy as they claim to be, they should give the obligatory "Golf Clap" as the 2011 NL Central champions are announced....but they probably won't.
  3. I start TTMing again come ST. Got Jed Bradley, Brandon Kintzler back in the mail Saturday on 8x10s. Big suprise today, got Zack Greinke back today on an 8x10 C/O Maryvale.
  4. Pictures aren't great, but here is what I have. I started around 2007 and have most of the bobbles since then as well as a few pre-2007. I do not collect the regulars and the retros, I just try to get one or the other. I would love to be able to get light inside my display cabinet so that they can be seen a little better. http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/r523/rdmussack/bobbles4.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/r523/rdmussack/bobbles3.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/r523/rdmussack/bobbles2.jpg http://i1170.photobucket.com/albums/r523/rdmussack/bobbles1.jpg Hoping to add a few more- money is a little tight to add a lot at the moment.
  5. Going back to what a lot of people said, Gamel may have had some issues with immaturity. Think about it, he has raked at every level (HS, JuCo, Lower Levels), and maybe he figured the jump to the bigs would be just as easy, and blame Macha or whoever you want, but it didn't happen. Hopefully with maturity (wife, 2 kids, etc.) he will be able to make the jump and produce. I am hoping for Lyle Overbay type numbers. .280 average, 15-20HR, and lots of doubles.
