  1. Victor Santos sucks - this guy would be a mop-up man on almost any other team. Get him out of here.
  2. It's very encouraging that Hardy has 3 hits today - nice game, JJ.
  3. Daron says "I'm big on respecting my elders but you can't let this go on forever."
  4. That breaking ball was absolutely sick. Burnett has nasty stuff.
  5. Are you kidding me? This is probably Bens first or second time out this year pitching with more than 120 pitches. He's not a baby. He's finishing off his game. Especially after last night. Plus, let him mow down the bottom of the order to get a complete game. I agree 100%. He's a major league pitcher paid to do this.
  6. THANK YOU NED YOST. Exactly what I expect in this situation, Ben needs to shut the door himself. I wouldn't have minded last night if Davis stayed in, either.
  7. Yeah lets send him down to Huntsville. He's killing my fantasy team http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  8. Is it just me or is Weeks overmatched in the MLB?
  9. I HATE the Cardinals. 1 out in the 9th, Jeremy Accardo of the Giants gets Pujols to pop up with runners on 1st and 3rd and then Alou brings in Jason Christiansen to face Jim Edmonds, lefty vs. lefty. First pitch, Edmonds smacks it to right, tying the game and bringing in the winning run. Stupid Chris Carpenter gets the no decision and a terrific game by Brad Hennessey goes down the tubes.
  10. Capellan needs a tad bit more movement on his fastball, but he's going to be special. He can't make too many of those mistakes to hitters like he did with Ausmus. Regardless of speed, if you throw a 100 MPH fastball down the middle, Brad "I'm a Dartmouth Man" Ausmus will still smoke it.
  11. I have a confession to make. Damian Miller is my grandpa!
  12. What is this? 1960? He was out of gas. I bash Ned as much as anyone, but he made the right move tonight. No, it's 2005 and managers baby pitchers WAY too much. I can understand if Doug is a stud pitching prospect who's been throwing heat all night but let's face the facts. Doug is a finesse pitcher who can hit 91-92 once in a blue moon. He gets by on changing speeds and should be able to throw 125-135 pitches as evidenced by a few games earlier this year. He needs to seal the deal himself, just like a few other people have been saying. He's paid to do that sort of thing, you know.
  13. Wow, is the box score for Doug Davis ever going to be an injustice to his performance tonight. Ya gotta feel for the guy, it's got to be mentally wearing on him thinking he has to do it all and STILL can't get the team to win. Agree 100%. I am biased because Doug is my favorite player, but it's got to be wearing on him and Sheets, too, when he dominates and winds up with the ND or loss. No wonder these pitchers have started hitting http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  14. Thinking about it, Doug should have worked out of it himself. It's his game to lose in that scenario, not Kane Davis'. MLB pitchers are treated like babies these days. Whenever they near 100 pitches "you have to take them out". That's unacceptable, even if Davis was showing some fatigue, he needs to seal the deal himself. He's a grown man, and he didn't make the Big Show by automatically being taken out after throwing 110+ pitches.
  15. Yeah, it's an earned run. I don't care if Doug put runners on base there, he was clearly tiring. While he is to blame for that, he pitched very well. If he gets the loss, I give up.
  16. I'm beginning to think Doug will never win another game.
  17. Davis has vastly improved from his approach to the plate last year. I really believe it now when I hear that he was working on his hitting during the offseason - it shows.
  18. Ben battled even though he gave up 10 ERs!
  19. Bringing up young prospects and seeing them succeed like Hart today makes me laugh even more when I think that the likes of Jeffrey Hammonds and Alex Sanchez once roamed the outfield.
