  1. Booo...we no longer have a .900 OPS player on our team.
  2. See what happens when Hart gets in the game. Luckily Ned just used him as a PH to make sure he wouldn't any more chances at the plate tonight.
  3. I don't have a problem with Ned for the most part, but his handling of Corey Hart baffles me.
  4. I'll give you Jenkins, I don't know why Ned insists on putting him in the 3 spot and not PH'ing for him vs. lefties, but I don't think Ned really has had much of a choice with Turnbow. He just got a multi-year contract to close games, and is the only reliever in the pen who has been able to finish out games. (up until now obviously) I think Ned was somewhat forced to ride Turnbow out until he either broke out of the slump, or absolutely forced Ned to put someone else in that spot.
  5. The Reds didn't win because their bullpen held our bats in check. They won because Turnbow sucks.
  6. Wow..... http://www.mnstate.edu/implosion/images/neumaier1a.jpg
  7. This is almost getting comical.
  8. Hooray for hacking away at the plate! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. Russ Ortiz was Ben Hendrickson vs. Minnesota bad against the D-Rays tonight. 0.0 IP 5H 6ER 1BB 1HR
  10. Seems like that was Carlos' first HR in forever.

  12. I really like what Ned's doing with Billy, putting him down in the 7 hole. That way we always have a guy who can drive in runs at the bottom of the order, and his low OBP doesn't hurt quite as much.
  13. I'd take another 3-Run blast here from ya Billy!
  14. Apparently we weren't at all concerned with wating for our pitch that half inning.
  15. Andruw Jones is having himself a night. 5-5 with 2 HR and 6 RBI
  16. Nice to actually convert on one of these early inning opportunities.
  17. It looks like tonights game will be big if we can win it. We should pick up a game on StL, Hou, and Cin.
  18. I think you also have to look at this issue from their perspective. Don't you think they're sick of hearing about how Bonds did steroids from everyone, especially fans from other teams? Wouldn't you get pretty fed up if you had to hear from Cubs/Cards/Astro etc.. fans about how "Brewer player X" did steriods and is a cheater. (I'd be willing to bet a ton of money that some current Brewers did actually do steroids) Sure the banning was excessive, but I can understand how Giants fans have a pretty low tolerance for people getting on them for rooting Barry on.
  19. Milwaukee Brewers Tomo Ohka - (2-1, 3.18) http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f88/JoeH33/Tomo.jpg Ohka's Splits vs. San Francisco Ohka felt strong after another Minor League rehabilitation stint on Thursday and is lined up to return to the rotation in San Francisco. He has not pitched in the Majors since May 1 because of a subsurface rotator cuff tear. Manager Ned Yost has yet to formally announce his plans, and left-hander Dana Eveland or right-hander Carlos Villanueva (who would have to be recalled from Triple-A) are other options. (MLB.com) @ San Francisco Giants Jamey Wright - (5-8, 5.06) http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f88/JoeH33/JamieWright.jpg Wright's Splits vs. Milwaukee Wright had a mix of rough and smooth first half. After good start he's riding a career-long five-game losing streak, going 0-5 with a 6.70 ERA. He's fourth among NL starters with at 74.1 percent for grounders and is tied for lead with 18 double plays. During his skid, Giants have averaged only 1.8 runs in hist last eight contests. 20. I guess we deserved that half inning after what happened to the Giants in the first.
  21. Butch must have told the guys to attack Schmidt early in the count. We're sure going up there hacking away tonight.
  22. There's a big advantage there of having Gross in CF over Clark. He can chuck it. edit: I guess we're not the only team who has trouble scoring runs with guys on base/no outs. ZachJack definately dodged a bullet there.
  23. Ugh....nothing worse than giving away outs. ...and now Jenks gets a basehit.
