  1. Nice play Billy! Now lets get some runs.
  2. In Sheets' two losses this year we've scored a combined four runs. Its not that he was pitching poorly, he just didn't have any support. LINK
  3. I don't like giving up an out there with the pitcher leading off, but I guess Ned didn't really have much of a choice since lil Ben was dealing.
  4. Which runt is more obnoxiously annoying http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f88/JoeH33/Eckstein.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f88/JoeH33/adameverett.jpg
  5. Donnerwetternacheinmal............ http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif One of the worst hitting catchers in baseball is 3-3
  6. Wins by Lehr, Wise, Cappellan etc. count just as much as wins by a SP.
  7. Alright 'Lil Ben, way to work out of a jam. Now lets go put a crooked number on the board.
  8. Geez....single and a wild pitch. Gotta buckle down here, we're getting to the point were we really gotta hold 'em in check for the rest of the game.
  9. WOOO HOOO One pitch, one out! Sorry.....little things http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  10. Lets keep peckin' away at that lead. Four runs isn't too big of a hurdle.....unless we keep giving up 5 an inning.
  11. That doen't hurt! Solo shot for JJ, fortunately we brought the bats to the park today.
  12. Well they got our two back...gotta keep mashing.
  13. I don't mind not seeing Ensberg in that Houston lineup.
  14. Houston Milwaukee ------- --------- Pos Player HR RBI AVG. Pos Player HR RBI AVG. --- ------ -- --- ---- --- ------ -- --- ---- 2B Biggio, Craig 3 10 .313 2B Weeks, Rickie 1 8 .272 CF Taveras, Willy 0 5 .286 SS Hardy, JJ 4 13 .269 1B Berkman, Lance 10 30 .333 RF Jenkins, Geoff 4 13 .298 RF Lane, Jason 6 11 .221 LF Lee, Carlos 11 21 .295 3B Lamb, Mike 0 0 .214 1B Fielder, Prince 5 16 .337 LF Wilson, Preston 5 11 .221 CF Hall, Bill 6 11 .348 C Ausmus, Brad 0 7 .333 3B Koskie, Corey 2 6 .294 SS Everett, Adam 1 13 .243 C Miller, Damian 1 13 .303 P Nieve, Fernando (0-0, 4.50) P Sheets, Ben (1-2, 4.00)
  15. Nieve throws heat, a curve and a slider, and he has a decent cutter. LINK
  16. I actually feel supremely confident about this team right now, and I think we'll take this game easily. Sheets has been absolutely lights out this year, and I expect another ~10 strikeout 1-2 run performance from him. Our offense has been raking as of late and I think we'll pound this guy. My prediction Brewers - 7 Astros -1
  17. Fernando Nieve - (0-0, 4.50) http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f88/JoeH33/FernandoNieve.jpg This is Neive's First Start vs. Milwaukee Nieve allowed two runs over 4 2/3 innings Tuesday against the Dodgers and took a no-decision in Houston's 14-inning win on April 25. The rookie right-hander has allowed four earned runs over two Major League starts. He will be making his first start against the Brewers when he takes the mound for the finale in Milwaukee. @ Ben Sheets - (1-2, 4.00) http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f88/JoeH33/BigBen.jpg Sheets' Splits vs. Houston Sheets held the Braves to two runs in six innings of his most recent start, and would have had a chance for his second straight double-digit strikeout game had the Brewers not faced a run-scoring opportunity in the bottom of the sixth that called for a pinch-hitter. In his last two starts, Sheets has pitched 13 innings, surrendering four runs on 12 hits, with just one walk and 19 strikeouts. 18. Hmm...some reverse Ohka mojo with that pic there?
  19. Prince with a leadoff double this time. Gotta just keep plating these guys and we'll be fine.
  20. Cappy is absloutely mowing the Cubs down! Only 29 pitches through 3.
  21. Still, we got one just putting numbers on the board is all that matters now.
  22. Billy walks so the bases are loaded for Geoff....also Z is already up to just about 50 pitches so hopefully we can see the pen soon.
  23. C'mon Rickie, even a sac fly would be ok with me. edit: ack K
  24. Alright, there we go Brady lets get it started.
