  1. Hey Craig, I know you're busy doing....well, whatever in the dugout. I think you can get him out of der now, aina hey.
  2. Giving out a walk to load the bases. I don't like where this is headed. This is a team 19 games below .500 we're facing, right?
  3. One out in the second, and the Reds already have eight hits. Lawl. This is going to fast become an insurmountable lead. First and third, one out.
  4. Watch the Brewers make DeSclafani look like the second coming of Walter Johnson, just cause....Brewers.
  5. In his last 10 IP, Guerra has allowed 18 runs to score. Eighteen. Twelve of them earned. Warm up the bullpen. Again.
  6. 'cause Brewers. Nothing can ever be easy for this team.
  7. The walk up music for every Milwaukee Brewer. What a choke job.
  8. I think I'll give up on tonight, and go put on the next episode of The Handmaid's Tale, because a totalitarian society where doctors, priests, and sexual deviants are hung in public, rapists are beaten to death in ritualistic ceremonies, and fertile women are forced into service as breeders, under the watchful eye of armed guards and roving "eyes" that will snag disobedients, and send them to their deaths cleaning up toxic waste, seems like a veritable laugh riot compared to this dumpster fire.
  9. Like hell it's not on Counsel. He's the captain of this ship, and he let the Titanic continue to drift towards the iceberg, and didn't get off his arse to turn the wheel until we were two inches from it. Knebel has been God awful of late. The leash he's on should be the length of a chihuahua. At the first sign of trouble, you get somebody else up in the pen. I don't buy into this "Padres are hot and confident" BS. They're the worst team in baseball for a reason, and we were facing the bottom of their lineup-at home, no less. Knebel walks the #7 guy, I'm already holding the phone to the pen. Knebel throws a few balls to the next batter, I'm putting the call in, calling time, and stalling to get the pen guy warmed up. Not a chance in hell that I'm allowing Knebel to see another batter after he walks two guys. The umpire can tongue lash me, kick me out of the game, write an impassioned letter to the league why I should be fined. I don't give a damn. I'd have Front Row Amy do jumping jacks for a few seconds-whatever it took to make sure that the head case on the mound doesn't throw another pitch. And after the third walk, there's not a little league coach, let alone another MLB manager, that would have let Knebel face a fourth batter. Knebel threw the pitches, but Counsel should have been watching him with the world's biggest magnifying glass. The buck has to stop somewhere, and Counsell has shown time and time again that he has no clue about when to act. Meet the new Brewers, same as the old Brewers. The late season swoon is underway. They'll choke down the stretch, just like they always do on the rare occasion when they have a decent squad. And, we'll blow sunshine up each other's butts about how bright the future is, because that's all fans of loser franchises have. Losers whine about doing their best. Winners go home and boink the Prom Queen.
  10. But but.....Knebel has such great stuff, and he's been so great with the Brewers, so we can't criticize him.
  11. Frankie Banali is not the original drummer. He never played with Randy Rhoads. Drew Forsyth played in QR from 1975 to 1979. Banali didn't join until late 1982.
  12. Are you kidding me with this? Why is Albers anywhere near a Major League mound, and wearing a Brewers uniform?
  13. Seriously, what crawled up your ass and died? Knebel has been wildly inconsistent (and that is being exceedingly kind) for a while. I'm not rooting against him. But I'm justifiably nervous when he takes the mound. Spinning your tires guy. I really don’t care that you’re nervous about him pitching nor was my comment at you individually but that’s how you’re taking it. I think how people act when he takes the mound is a bit ridiculous and because of how great our pen has been this, we have crazy expectations for him and everyone out there. He’s a good pitcher with great stuff who is entering his prime. I’ll gladly hand the ball to that guy and take my chances. But this is it for me with you on this because even this has gotten silly. Sorry you took offense to Knebel hater, have a good night. I'm not spinning my tires at all. Your position is untenable, and when people challenge it, you got snitty. How the rest of the pen has performed, and how Knebel has performed (of late) are two completely separate discussions. Does Knebel have great stuff? Yes. Is he wildly inconsistent at times? Absolutely. Our trepidation is completely warranted. If you accidentally spill a pot of boiling water on your hand, it's a natural response for your hand to shake the next time you go to boil water. Knebel has lost one game in july, blown another, and even in games when he's converted the save, he's struggled. His command has been off. I hope he rights the ship. But calling out people who are anxious in a tied game with him on the mound is going too far. If you really "don't care that I'm nervous", don't say anything.

  15. Who's a Knebel "hater"? The guy had a 5.25 ERA in July. I just didn't want to battle back from 4-2 down to see him blow it. We have been spoiled by our pen. Rough patches happen. Knebel has been so good in his Brewer career and yet no faith at all in him even though his stuff is as electric as ever. It’s a bit overblown IMO Calling him "so good in his Brewer career" is what's overblown. 2015 3.22 ERA across 50 IP; 4.03 FIP, 1.212 WHIP. Pretty good, but the FIP is high 2016 4.68 ERA across 32 2/3 IP; 3.57 FIP, 1.469 WHIP. Not good. 2017 1.78 ERA across 76 IP; 2.53 FIP, 1.158 WHIP. Very good. All Star. 2018 4.11 ERA across 30 2/3 IP; 4.50 FIP, 1.207 WHIP. Decent. Who cares if his stuff is "electric"? I'm more interested in results. 7 earned runs allowed in 12 IP, and allowing opposing hitters a .900 + OPS in July was not good. He's been inconsistent as a Brewer. Had one great year, one pretty good year, one below average, one well below average.

  17. Oh, hell yes it does. I have DirecTV, and it's great except when it's raining, windy, or a blue jay farts in the general direction of the dish.
  18. The 32-75 Orioles, after getting rid of Kevin Gausman, Manny Machado, Jonathan Schoop and others beat the 68-37 Yankees...in New York. Gotta love baseball.
  19. Watching two of the hottest hitters in the Majors in our lineup will be very fun. I approve of this move. Schoop is good defensively, and can rake. And, he's not yet 27. This opens up all kinds of interesting lineup possibilities, and drastically improves our bench.
